Jan-Christian Dreesen: "Yesterday we narrowly missed the match point, today we are German champions – heartfelt congratulations to our team and the coaching staff led by Vincent Kompany, who delivered a masterpiece in his first season. A big thank you also to all the employees who work behind the scenes every day to ensure this success. We all sincerely congratulate Harry Kane on his title, not least of all, who has already scored an incredible 80 goals for us and who has shown everyone: Kane can win titles! Dear Bayern family, we are champions again – and the trophy will be back home on Saturday." masterpiece? LULZ, bombs OUT of DFB Cup and CL so quickly, LMAO. 80 goals full of PKs and tap ins and only musters 1 trophy in 2 years, LULZ.
LOL! Dreesen's statement is a lot more hilarious because Bayern made it explicitly clear Kane was signed to win the CL.
To make matters worse, Kane gets to celebrate his first title EVER, from a Holiday Inn Express in his slippers instead of on the pitch after a victory with boots of beer, fans, a packed stadium and the atmosphere of victorious celebrations...music, food, laughter, cheers, applause, hugs, energy, cries, smiles, loved ones present, teammates and emotions triggered by all the things just mentioned. Nope. Watched a match end 2-2 and said, "Yup, I won my first title according to FOTMOB". What a shitty, shitty way to win that first title.
What an incredible semi-final between Inter and Barca. Hansi concedes 7 goals in 2 games vs Inter and 10 goals in the last 3 CL games. His strategy is too risky. That said, Araujo ruins Barcelona's run in CL second year running. He let 37-year-old Acerbi shoot for 3-3 and then got turned inside out by Thuram for 4-3. Sabotage.
Yeah Barca is out. I don’t have to witness Flick and Lewandowski celebrated at the Allianz. Bisseck to win UCL
Bad news. Every time the final was played at Munich a brand new European Cup winner emerged. PSG have never won it.
So with one week remaining in the 1BL, there are still a few issues to be settled. Frankfurt, Freiburg & Dortmund are competing for 2 CL spots to join Bayern and Leverkusen, with the team that misses out guaranteed EL. Mainz and Leipzig are battling over the Conference League place. Kiel and Bochum are relegated, the relegation play off position is almost certain to be Heidenheim. I hope Mainz make Europe as it will mean the likes of Burkardt, Nebel, Weiper, Sieb etc get to play at that level for the first time.
I expect Dortmund to do enough to make it, as a 2 goal win at home to Kiel will almost certainly be enough. So basically a shoot out between Frankfurt and Freiburg. The good thing is both teams have a number of German players, however Frankfurt probably have more relevant NT/U21 players who would benefit from playing CL. Hopefully Stuttgart make EL by winning Pokal, would mean that with clubs like Frankfurt, Freiburg, Stuttgart and Mainz (along with CL regulars Bayern & Dortmund) all in Europe we would have a large pool of players in those competitons next season. Can only be beneficial.
I've followed Wirtz next transfer news and must admit if the speculative price €150millions with wage €20-25M annualy are true. Bayern must be thinking really hard to purchase. Not just one single deal but lads with soon expiring contract would definitely ask for a raise.
It's funny because most of the reports you see suggest the club wants to reduce salaries, however they've already given guys like Kimmich, Davies and Musiala huge new contracts this season and will likely put Wirtz in the 20-25m category too, adding to Kane who was already in that pay bracket. So any other new signings or contract extensions will cost more, there are reports Upamecano is looking for a bigger deal and how long until Olise demands an increase.
I am personally want Wirtz to join Real Madrid and play with the world best such as Mbappe, Vinicius, Bellingham. If he comes to Bayern the Bundes will become boring league again. The german league need some new stars to explode. Wirtz is already pasted that, It's time for him to go to worldwide stage.
For me the Premier League will be perfect for Florian. Man City are crying out for him to replace Debryune
Debryune really flourished in that 10 Role under Pep. Marmoush has taken the Premier League by storm The attacking players generally flourish under Pep.
So Frankfurt + Dortmund secure CL, Freiburg will play EL (along with Stuttgart or Bielefeld) and great to see Mainz make Europe ahead of Leipzig. Heidenheim will be in relegation play off v 3rd in 2BL (most likely Elversberg or Paderborn).
boooooo that Bielefeld won 3rd Liga and got promoted to 2BL. I wanted to see a 3rd Liga club play Europe next season, LOL.
A few interesting things in the 2 Bundesliga. SV Elversberg is in the promotion/relegation playoff vs Heidenheim. If Elversberg wins promotion it would be their first ever time in the top flight since the club was founded in 1907. As recently as 3 years ago they were playing in the Southwest Region League! Crazy. Their stadium holds only 10,000!
what's funny about Elversberg is that its German youth doing all the work, LOL -when they got promoted to 3rd Liga for 1st time ever they loaned in 02 CF Woltemade who is now having a breakout 1BL season with Stuttgart and he in their 1st season in 3rd Liga got them promoted to 2BL and was named best 3rd Liga player of season too. -now this season they loaned in 3 German Youth in 02 CF Asllani, 04 AM Damar and 05 RB Baum from Hoffenheim and Frankfurt and those 3 players are MAJOR KEY players too. This is the club's 2nd season in 2BL and on track for possible 1BL. we got Koln winning 2BL and getting promoted back to 1BL thanks to loads of German youth and now Elversberg on possible historic promotion also thanks to German youth.
cringe and even more hilariously cringe vid for this tap in and PK merchant. 1919082538770784395 is not a valid tweet id LOL at how so much fuss is made because Hawwy finally won a trophy. WOW amazing, he won a a 1BL title with the club that usually wins it. so far Kane has been a flop at Bayern 1 trophy in 2 years..........
reminds me of when there was HUGE amount of fuss because Bellingham won the CL with the dominant Real Madrid, LMAO. nothing to brag about, would have been more impressive if Bellingham had won CL with BVB instead in that final between BVB vs Real last season.
