I'm not holding my breath on the world witnessing another German footballer winning the Ballon d'Or in the near future or ever again for that matter, because as we all know, German footballers have nowhere near the same media traction as other nationalities.
I guess if we had won the Euro, maybe Wirtz or Kroos might have been in the top 5. Real throwing a tantrum about this not being awarded to Vinicius is hilarious. I mean a Spanish player born in Madrid who played a key role in winning a major title for the Spanish NT has won it instead, you would think they at the very least be diplomatic, understand why and congratulate him not cry about it lol.
Believe it or not, but the small stuff really matters with these types of awards, especially in a close racepic.twitter.com/Cyem6hKb3p— Ali (@Ali400B) October 28, 2024

Who the hell thought it was a good idea to appoint Sahin? It doesn’t make sense to me. To be fair, a lot of the players aren’t that great either but they should be doing better. The recruitment has been poor and needs to be addressed.
Now that Messi and Ronaldo are no longer there, maybe there is a chance for a German player to win it. Musiala due to his Messi-esque dribbling style has a lot of fans. If Bayern win the Champions League or Germany win the World Cup or Euro, I think he might win the Ballon d’Or. Wirtz also has a chance due to his attractive style of play. I agree with you and it’s sad that German footballers don’t have the same media traction as other nationalities. They are always underrated. A lot of people from other other countries seem to dislike Germany.
Apart from Sahin being on the hot seat, Dortmund have 5 players on the cut list in their current crisis: Brandt, Malen, Sabitzer, Suele, Can. They can be sold if a taker is found https://www.transfermarkt.de/-bild-...-hat-125-millionen-marktwert/view/news/445611
Aren't Sabitzer and Malen pretty good players for the Bundesliga? Why do they need to sell them? I don't watch their matches. I had high hopes for Suele so I am a bit disappointed with the way his career has panned out. Brandt is also a solid Bundesliga player( good enough for a top 6 club). Just not elite. Who are they going to replace them with?
It's halftime and Nicolas-Gerrit Kühn has already bagged a brace in the Champions League against his old club RB Leipzig. He must be delighted. The first goal in particular was a beautiful goal from distance. The second one was a tap-in. It's a pleasant surprise that he's a starter for a big club like Celtic. Who would have though?! Leipzig should be doing better. They shouldn't be losing points to Celtic.
its not a surprise though, the skillset was always there but he just wasted too many years at big clubs like Bayern-Ajax and had too many injury/fitness issues. and I recall you and others wrote him off ASAP too.....ignoring that talent of players doesn't disappear if they don't make it big super fast and then everyone has different career path and to stop looking at players from foreign countries and comparing left and right. now linked with EPL clubs too. what goes around comes around, ******** Leipzig, LMAO.
It's true. I wrote him off. Props to him for making progress in his career. Nevertheless, I still don't think he's going to be a great player for the national team or a great Premier League player but I would be happy if he proves me wrong. It's nice that he scored a brace against Leipzig but that doesn't mean he's going to be successful in a big league. Leipzig are an inconsistent team. They have 0 points from 4 games and Celtic were at home. It's good that he's linked with EPL clubs but I have my doubts that he will cut it there( maybe for a mid-table club but not for a top 6 club). He's doing well in the Scottish league but it's a weak league.
It's the second week in a row that German clubs underperform in the CL. Leipzig lose to Celtic which is pathetic. Dortmund needed a big defensive mistake a few minutes before the end to score the winning goal against freaking Sturm Graz and apparently they didn't create much in this game. That's embarrassing. Neverkusen got destroyed 0-4 by Liverpool. It's worrying. Serie A is now ahead of us in the ranking. We are the 4th best league in the world. I know it doesn't really matter whether we're 3rd or 4th but still...
I don't think anyone has discussed the news that Red Bull and Bernard Arnault will buy Paris FC. More and more billionaires are buying French clubs. The French league is going to get stronger in the coming years. We could become the 5th best league in the future which is sad.
why do you keep obsessing over Elite-Big clubs? Who cares seriously. when players like Leweling, Fuhrich, Kleindienst, Fullkrug, Undav etc all get called up to NT and perform and none play in big clubs and none are Elite either. I feel like your more obsessed with World Class-Elite players and big clubs then about players who can be useful based on skill set to NT. A Schurrle played for big clubs like Chelsea and BVB and was overall meh at club footy but thanks to him we won the WC14. And he was never world class or Elite but his skillset was what we needed. its also your obsession with such things that makes you write off players super fast too. Your obsession with comparing Germany with every rival country and if players aren't Elite at teenagers you write them off too. You also don't care that Germany and German players have different issues that others don't too.
