Now that the Group Stage is done, all I can do cross my fingers and hope on Monday BVB are drawn with the easiest possible opponent in the last 16.

The good news is BVB cannot be drawn with Bayern, Man City or PSG. So basically just need to avoid Real to stay away from any of the top favourites.

Beyond Real Madrid being obvious favourites, I've seen so many BVB-RM match-ups that I've grown tired of them, which is why I want to avoid them.

A petition should be signed that stops key German players (aka Wirtz) from getting serious injuries. :D:cry:

I wonder if Leverkusen could have done better with a healthy Wirtz.

Still, 7 out of a possible 8 1BL clubs in the knockout stages of European torunaments is still a good return.

Exactly! The Conference League is about as important as the Intertoto Cup.

If UEFA were serious about a proper third tournament they should have revived the Cup Winners' Cup, which was the more prestigious of the secondary tournaments, ahead of the UEFA Cup.

yeah as long as we are top 4 non of rest matters. Just look at 1BL and Ligue 1 gap and that gap will get bigger in future. Ligue 1 is basically PSG and that's it.

Eredivisie doing well, recall when it and Austria were closer to mid-10s.

Let's hope Eredivisie and Portugal overtake Ligue 1!!!!!!

Hoffman with a late run in the area and makes it 1-0 for BMG. Glad hes back, a quality player who always performs for the National team.

Union lose 5-0 to Bayer Leverkusen thus losing the top spot.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Xabi's comprehensive win over the league leaders is a fluke. It was thanks to Union suffering from a Europa League hangover and Neverkusen having the home advantage. He is still a flop.

I think I saw that Liverpool have a 37% chance of facing Bayern in the round of 16. That could be some clash. If Kloppo can get some midfield reinforcements in January and keep his best players fit, he might have a chance despite the poor season Liverpool are having. 3 months is a long time in football. I would say Liverpool would be favorites if they faced Dortmund, Leipzig and Frankfurt but unfortunately for them they will meet the worst possible German team.
