I wonder if Coman’s continuing poor form heightens the likelihood that Bayern will try again for Sane in the summer?

    they should, Coman shouldn't start.

it's criminal how poor he is and still plays for big clubs.

Bayern will still go for Sane, we went for Sane when we had Coman

Coman is only good enough to be a backup. One he is very injury prone, Two, his game has barely improved, he can dribble he can run but he makes terrible decisions that makes all the initial speed and trickery useless. He doesn't look up to pick his pass, he just spam crosses into the box hoping one finds a teammate.

I see Sane and Gnabry as starters, with Coman and Perisic as backup
    Coutinho goes back to Spain

We try to sell Tolliso, retain Goretzka and try for Harvetz

Sane and Havertz would both be good upgrades on Coman and Tolisso imo. And another bonus is it would be two Germans replacing two Frenchies. ;)

So Bayern make it 6 1st leg wins out of 6 for the BL clubs in Europe. When did that last happen?

A very comfortable win, far superior to Chelsea. 2 more goals for Gnabry and Muller was excellent again. Means the 2 EPL v BL ties have started with away wins and clean sheets for the German clubs.

Must say I have this feeling that Barcelona and real don’t seem to be at their best and the English clubs also not doing that well . Not saying Bayern are that good either at least not at the moment , but they have done pretty well this season in the CL.

Happy to see three German teams in it with a chance to make the final 8 ... some redemption on last years performance .

Two good results, means the BL now has 8 wins in 8 matches so far in the knockout rounds.

There's definitely a chance. La Liga and EPL are weaker this year.

Another interesting stat is so far there have been 6 matches between EPL and BL clubs, and so far it is 5 wins for the BL, inc 4 away wins out of 4, all at London clubs. Even Frankfurt who are poor away in the league won away at Arsenal lol.

Should hopefully be a much better season for the coefficient.

glad to see EPL chocking, I really don't like that league and I'm sick of La Liga winning domination.

I would like to see Neverkusen win EL so that they could shed the Never tag, lol. Although with Volland out for the season could be harder.

    Last 16 in EL
Bayer, Wolfsburg, LASK, Wolves, Man U, Inter Milan, Roma, Copenhagen, Olympiacos, Rangers, Getafe, Basel, Sevilla, Istanbul B., Shakhtar

the Frankfurt vs Salzburg (Frankfurt lead 4-1) was delayed to tomorrow. Unless they are idiots they should progress too.

competition wise, 1BL winning EL seem doable.

EL round of 16 draw -

    Wolfsburg v Shakhtar
    Rangers v Leverkusen
    Frankfurt/Salzburg v Basel

All winnable ties imo, although Wolfsburg v Shakhtar is probably the toughest. Other standout ties are Inter v Getafe and Roma v Sevilla.

Wolfsburg will struggle vs Shaktar given that the return leg is in Donetsk.
    Rangers vs Leverkusen is winnable
Frankfurt vs Basel is balanced and winnable too

The return leg will be in Lviv not Donetsk. Shakhtar have been unable to play at home for several years since the insurgence in Eastern Ukraine.

lol at those Tolisso stats. Eh even Pavard is average and Hernandez is biggest 1BL transfer ever and almost always unfit.

Seems like BVB's board has settled for the Portuguese model of signing talent dirt cheap and later selling at overly inflated prices.

that's what I don't like about Dortmund , they seem more about dev and selling over anything.

one of the biggest clubs in Germany shouldn't be like that. It's an issue when a lot of players are just using Dortmund just to play elsewhere.

said it from beginning read any and all foreign players who sign. All the same answer, "It's a big club (CL) that plays young players." More like a club to advertise players......

is there a reason why Frankfurt compete in Europe but are complete and utter trash in 1BL? LOL.

Matthias Suuck blocked me from Twitter for expressing to him my displeasure at the club's lack of ambition. Talk about being in denial. This club has a EUROPEAN CUP in its trophy cabinet, meaning there's a reputation to live up to.

Well, I'm not complaining if it helps the Bundesliga's international standing.
