Exactly, which is why Favre's insistence to play someone like Goetze or Brandt up top and out of position is pointless. He refuses to admit faults of not integrating Isak or signing a new striker.
another problem is that U19 main striker is 14 year old Moukoko (not eligible) and then II 1st choice is 98-Tigges, pretty sure Tigges or even Aydinel are not seen as 1st team prospect. Makes me think maybe Besong should have stayed 1 season min at Dortmund, the club at least seemed to like him before he left. which is why II teams are sometimes weird that clubs have players there but aren't even considered 1st team prospect even with injury issue.
Striker is a specialist position, which is why false 9 is a flawed concept. Why play people out of position instead of signing/using players who are properly trained to play that position and have right tools/instincts to actually be effective? It was clear in the summer Dortmund needed another striker, Alcacer alone is not enough.
Alexander Isak scored the winning goal for Real Sociedad, as they momentarily now have shared points for top spot in La Liga. A player that Dortmund let go for peanuts.
Gladbach who don't impress in Europe are currently #1 in 1BL and Freiburg are #3, lol. what does that say about the current quality of 1BL..................nothing great. we are very close to 1/3 of the season being over.
I've honestly felt like 1BL has been pathetic league for a few years, sad to say. My only current interest is on dev of young players. would be shocking if anyone wins a Europe trophy. And that there is no outstanding side is likely + for the neutrals.
Many watchers claimed they are bored seeing Bayern win it easily and want more competition. Now you have it, Lower quality and more competition since other clubs could not step up to Bayern, Bayern came down to them
Bayern is complete trash under Kovac barely managing vs a 2BL club fighting relegation and needed them to be 10 men just to beat them. Shame Wintzheimer didn't score on Bayern.....
Advance to DFB Cup next round. Bayern, Hoff, Union Berlin, Saarbrucken, Stuttgart, Karlsruher, Bayer, Schalke OUT Duisburg, Koln, Bochum, HSV, Freiburg, Darmstadt, Paderborn, AB
Advance to DFB next round. FCK, Verl, RB Leipzig, Bremen, Fortuna, Dortmund, Hertha, Frankfurt OUT FCN, Kiel, Wolfsburg, Pauli, Dynamo, Gladbach, Heidenheim, Aue
it makes me laugh how much fuss RB Leipzig did just to resign 97-Lookman and he's played 200 min all season for a player they paid like $20+M. While their 3rd attempt at feeder club (2nd one was Smith-Rowe which they paid like $1M for an injured player who didnt do anything all post Winter) with them taking 00-Ampadu on loan from Chelsea has seen him play 18 min in 3 months, lol. An 18 min in a 6-1 win in Cup.I think Ampadu might get some more game time due to Konate and Orban being out, Orban seems out for like 2-3 weeks. these loans show why Academy players breakingthrough will be hard. Instead of wasting a loan space on some Brits. How about use those game time to integrate from within? Such a waste and good reason why they are a disgusting club that don't care about their own players and sign tons of fraudulent pro contracts because they don't have enough Germans but they sign GK #3 and #4 are Germans basically guys nowhere near the #1. Not only that but where is the logic in their brains where you loan in a youngster just to play back up role, because that's exactly what Ampadu is currently doing. The irony is that clubs like Frankfurt, Bayer, and RB Leipzig who don't have a II always claim that their II team is their U19 but only Bayer follows through to that. RB Leipzig their II teams seem to be RB Salzburg, LOL. https://everton.vitalfootball.co.uk...-ademola-lookman-is-struggling-at-rb-leipzig/
speaking of RB now they also have RB Brazil, RB NY, RB Salzburg. Expect a lot of players to come to Leipzig through sister clubs. Pathetic and lameass club. RB Brazil will be to poach South American talents, Salzburg to poach Eastern Europe/Scandinavian/African etc and NY is for North America. All that's missing is RB Asia and RB Africa. said it before, but RB Leipzig and Frankfurt don't care about German players because they want foreign players, they only care because they are forced to.These clubs basically want to be more International ones with as many players as possible from around the world for the sake of money. There is limited potential $$$ wise with just German players it's why their logic makes sense from a business standpoint. But these clubs are less and less German by the day, a lot of comments about how they don't even speak German at these clubs. They are losing their German identities........
The last time FC Bayern conceded 16 goals after 10 Bundesliga games was 11 years ago - 2008/09 under Jürgen Klinsmann [Opta]— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) November 2, 2019 This was a disgraceful performance on all levels, and it draws obvious parallels to the 5-1 loss in Wolfsburg a decade ago. This was long coming, though, and is a deserved result for the mediocre and uninspired performances the team has put in for most of the season.— Bavarian Tweets (@BavarianTweets) November 2, 2019
Pathetic display. People want to say it wasn’t Kovac’s fault Boa got a red. Alaba in Mid!? WTF was Kimmich in mid?! What a [emoji90] show today was.
you know what Kovac did..............he not surprisingly blamed the players. He's done this everytime he's flopped blamed the players. Trash coach. I don't have a high opinion on coaches who blame the players.
The Bundesliga has been boring for so long. It'll be nice to finally see some actual challenge and competition for the title race.

DFB Pokal last 16 full draw.Games will take place on 4 and 5 February. pic.twitter.com/lzoi2RoYXx— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) November 3, 2019 it's not that it's boring is that it's really low quality for a few years. People say it's boring but even a downtrending Bayern which they've been for years was still winning the thing. Even a crap Bayern is still in top 4. If people really want competitive than you'll end up with Freiburg and Gladbach 2 clubs who don't do squat in Europe qualify and what they'll do is help the coefficient go down down down. even a crap Bayern is still competitive in CL, even old man Robbery were doing something on other teams lol, it's been that bad. but the real issue is that quality of the league is bad, clubs spending millions and millions on average and below average players to garbage ones.Scouting seems done by amateurs. and the league is becoming a feeder league and stepping stone one. There was recently a Hoff player who said he hopes to use his playing in 1BL to go to EPL, LOL. my real draw to 1BL is that it's the domestic league of Germany, hence I only care about dev of German players and that's all folks.
FC Bayern parts ways with Niko Kovac. pic.twitter.com/xl0sjaZAqC— FC Bayern Munich (@FCBayernEN) November 3, 2019
seems like Bayern gave him 2 more games but according to Kovac himself he resigned!!!! Good riddance. Flick will likely coach next 2 games and Bayern have been linked with Dutch coach ten Hag. Maybe the club will get a more Academy friendly coach, Kovac was always against younger players. @nekkibasara me and you called it that his hiring was mistake from day 1, trash coach.
real issue is finding a replacement in Nov. Who is fee Wenger, Mourinho? lol. If Flick does well wonder if he's given until Winter as interim at the min. It's hard to find someone this early in the season. Summer is best time to find a new coach as other clubs are more willing to let someone go preseason over during season.
I agree Bayern are a lot weaker then before but in terms of the other BL clubs performance in Europe I don't think the league is necessarily weaker. Pre-Klopp's Dortmund only Bayern would regularly progress in the CL, no other team were a consistent presence whereas these days Dortmund expect to make a decent run pretty much every season too, and Leipzig are also in with a good chance this year of 1/8 finals and seem to be building up as a force. In the EL Frankfurt have been very strong recently, one shoot out away from the final and I think them and Wolfsburg can do quite well this year, maybe 1/4 finals with some luck. So it's not all bad. Some important matches for BL clubs in Europe this week, Dortmund v Inter in particular.
