Bayern/Leipzig; while I agree that the match was a little boring & predictable, it was fun watching Buhl take on the promising newcomer, Baum(who played a makeshift FB). Buhl, one of the few in the league with an ‘license to go 1v1’ didn’t always had her way as Baum did put on quite a defensive battle with her.
Despite the one sidedness, Leipzig coud be potential spoilers but the newly acquired Chiemieski wasn’t suited up for this game while Hoffmann only played 30 minutes(both recovering from presumed injuries)—but they shouldn’t of given up high scoring Fudelia & the underrated DM, Hipp if they want be contenders

Buhl & Oberdorf were in command of Bayern, which is good to see as I remember last year it was Harder &the foreign cartel instead. Oberdorf hopefully’s matured where she doesn’t over exalt herself where previously she was getting hurt & pulled out early practically every 2nd game

Bayern Lev barely held on to beat the surging Union Berlin. so glad to see those bottom teams making a fight of it, though got the feeling they’ll be losing by big scores once injuries start setting in.

still looking for the next Jule Brand. Could be Baum(though she needs to be positioned higher than FB). Don’t know how the NT gave up on Bremen striker, Medina Desic(
tall, athletic, speedy with an strong header game, would of been perfect for them—born & raised in Germany but from her 25th birthday, been playing for Montenegro instead

 

You can reverse the score, take inspiration from Roma.

I keep repeating the same issues with Frankfurt's useless diamond system... and Real Madrid are demonstrating exactly why Frankfurt will remain a UWCL non factor along as Arnautis refuses to adjust tactically

 

Well, I look forward for a Frankfurt-Inter final match.

 

Hoffenheim with a less talented team overall were a better representative of the Frauen Bundesliga, than the 2 years we've had to witness Frankfurt underwhelm.

Effective transition football... that's literally the one factor that defines success in the UWCL... yet Bayern and Frankfurt both refuse to acknowledge this simply reality.

It's so basic.... I can't understand why Arnautis can't showcase any level of compromise in Europe when it comes to his failed diamond system?

 

HT score says 2-0 Madrid... but it should probably be 3 or 4 based on Real's significantly superior ability to counter attack the wide open spaces out wide.

Frankfurt's system focuses everything through the middle, with the FB's given the ridiculous task of being defenders, and the teams main source of offensive width.

And what makes this even more annoying, is watching Memeti needlessly struggle playing in CM lol, when she's spent years in the Bundesliga establishing herself as a legit wide forward.

JUST CHANGE THE SYSTEM... No Anyomi is a problem. Freigang is a bum. But you cant bring on Chiba? and adjust your system to accomplish transitional attacks with wingers/wide forwards?

Senß and Gräwe double 6, Blomqvist and Memeti out wide, Chiba replacing Freigang as the forward, with Reuteler the CAM.

Your going home... at least try to fight back.

 

Frankfurt also look incredibly lethargic for a side who's starting 11 sat out most of the defeat to Hoffenheim...

At no stage has they looked like a team who motivated to fight to remian in this competition.

Arnautis hasn't helped his team compete Vs Real, but the lack of energy between these two teams look pretty noticeable too.
