Bad news for Alexandra Popp. She will play Regionalliga next season.
Mönchengladbach II - Köln II 0:2
Dortmund - Vorwärts Spoho Köln 8:0

    1.Köln II 68 98-26
    2.Dortmund 66 114-13

It really hurts now that they lost 3 points on matchday 5 for playing Sara Ito despite her not listed on the match sheet.

    Play-offs for promotion to 2.Bundesliga
    1.FC Saarbrücken vs Hertha BSC
1.FC Köln II vs Holstein Kiel

Sydney Lohmann is of course no stranger to playing at Wembley as she faced England in the 2022 Euros final for Germany.

    Lohmann has won FA Cup!

:speechless::thumbsdown:... I maintain BVB not doing this quicker was always dumb.

They initially didn't want to fully commit to investing into women's football, and now find themselves stuck with the necessary infrastructure of a 1.Bundesliga club, with leadership and players with decades of 1.Bundesliga experience, wasting away in the regional leagues.

This is a legit disaster for the development of womens club football in Germany. The biggest clubs always having one foot in, one foot out, seriously slowing down the intergration of improved professionalism.

I guess we have to wait and see if this new break away league actually happens, and hope it does something to encourage attention and more investment.

    Foreign watch...

Kössler didn't score but started again. Playing within a 4-4-2 now, instead of being a lone forward. I'll be very interested to see what happens when her club brings in the newly recruited Euro based players...

Something I find really confusing, is seeing Müller being used as a wide forward for her club team...o_O. Initailly a CM in German football, she was moved to a FB role that saw her gain attention of the wnt coaches. But wide forward in America... lol, what!?

Brand came on as a sub and provided a cross for Lyons final goal in a very comfortable 5-0 victory. Brand's value taking a hit after a disappointing UWCL final display, she apparently back to be a sub option now.

Lohmann see's some time on the field for Man City during their FA Cup final victory. I really don't even understand her role within that club anymore, or know what they intend to do with her in the future.

2027/28 will see the launch of Germany's new FBL domestic league which replaces the current DFB 1.Bundesliga.

Katharina Kiel, President and chief negotiator of FBL eV. says...
"This agreement on the basic contract is a historic step for professional women's football in Germany. We will shape the future of the league independently – with clear responsibility for the clubs, professional structures, and the ambition to become more internationally competitive. This success is the result of years of development work, significant investments, and a united front from the clubs. I thank our 14 clubs for their trust. This allowed us to conduct the negotiations with the DFB with considerable momentum and success,"

Over the seven-year contract period, the DFB is to provide the FBL with €20 million in funding. A portion of the FBL's repayments to the DFB will be deferred. Furthermore, the FBL will be institutionally integrated into key DFB interfaces – including a seat on the DFB Executive Committee for the FBL president.

The fact this was concluded is huge, as the DFB was doing it's very best to block this from ever happening, even trying to establish a joint venture alongside the FBL.

But after failed false promises of the past, nobody was willing to engage with the DFB's continued involvement in the operations of nations top domestic leagues anymore.

Genuinely, lets hope this is a major success. The rival league vultures continue to circle...:cautious:

Popp should honestly go on loan to another club lol. As a top five 1.Bundesliga player this season, having scored UWCL goals for a quarter finalist level Wolfsburg, there's ZERO need for her to be playing regional league football for the next year of her career.

Age, fitness, ambition... Popp shouldn't be anywhere near such a lower standard of football. It's honestly ridiculous....

    Or another way to explain it;

it took an 3-0 lead cushion & with only 12 minutes to play for the Man City coach to feel safe enough to finally sub in Lohmann!

This is would be Wolfsburg signing the Danish version of Hoffmann...

Couldn't convince Mühlhaus, Anyomi, or Cerci to join, while Kössler already left the Bundesliga for America in the early season.

So Wolfsburg are willing to pay 500k for another version of Hoffmann, when they could have just taken Fölmli for free lol...

Wück openly lied about his reasons for ommiting Freigang from the wnt...:cautious:

He said Freigang wasn't one of his squads top 13 players this season, which meant she'd struggle for game time.

But the reports I've seen over this issue with Freigang, is saying her omission from the wnt was due to an investigation process being opened up against her.

Why does this sound like Wück is lying... and why did he feel the need to lie, when I don't think it's crazy to say Freigang wasn't one of the top 13 German players this season...

Mühlhaus obviously better, Brand and Dallmann better options for AM roles too, Pilijic in my opinion more important to the future of the wnt's mid-field also having a impressive season.

Even without Wück having access to Oberdorf, or Alara, it's been obvious for some time Freigang's inconsistent club form wasn't making her claim to a role on the wnt particularly strong anymore.

500k would be the highest amount of money paid by a Bundesliga club for any player in league history...:speechless:

Wolfsburg... what are you doing..:cautious:. With Lerch still around the new director of football, this has potential disaster written all over it lol.

Actually, juding from her season in Napoli, Cecilie Floe looks less one-dimensional than Hoffman. She almost single-handedly carried Napoli in the top half of the rankings. :coffee:

Different figure keep popping up all the time, the latest I’ve read is Shaw’s contract is 1.7 million pounds per year, which when you google it into comes to $2.155 million.
Wuck needs his star player resting before taking on the No-Vegans for an full 90 minute, that’s why he probably told the Lyon coach to please bench Jule in an ‘you rub my back, I’ll rub your back’ sorta way

Despite its relatively small size seems like now Como become the big deal in Italian soccer, especially since apparently a lot of the million & billionaires that live there are pouring money into that club. Big celebrity money could be the answer since Italy’s been faltering badly/it’s broso NT falling to qualify for the men’s WC for third straight time must of hit hard

Fløe and Hoffmann are identical in height, appear to have the same level of speed, same rather underwhelming aerial capabilities, and have both scored 11 goals in their most recent seasons.

The major differences appearing to be in passing, where Hoffmann the better creator of chances for others. And then shooting/finishing, where Hoffmann again apparently the more efficient of the two.

Fløe does dribble the ball more, which results in her losing possession significantly more often too. But this could easily be a result of her current teams style of play.

I understand Hoffmann looks like true mediocrity playing for the wnt, but her final season with a 8th place Leipzig she was actually slightly better than Fløe who this season finished 7th place with Napoli.

Just looking at them playing for their clubs, both forwards are incredibly similar. So similar, it's crazy Wolfsburg would be willing to break the 1.Bundesliga transfer record to sign her.

Mühlhaus, Anyomi, Fölmi, Cerci, Kössler, all available, but all missed by Wolfsburg. Making it strange to see them willing to break the transfer record for a younger version of a Hoffmann clone lol...

I don't know if rival clubs are intentionally trying to troll Bayern, but I'm currently watching Real Madrid pretending their entering negotiations for Kett...o_O:giggle:

At some point Bayern will need to start making decisions on their squad adjustments for next season, and I really hope it includes the additions of Baum, Mattner, and Wrede.

Mattner having a break out season for club and country, I think incredibly stylistically similar to Gwinn, her best future will be playing as FB instead of a winger/wide forward.

Baum not better than Bender when it comes to young attackers, but possess a skill set for transition play and shooting, that would be PERFECT for Bayern, and eventually the senior wnt.

Wrede this season not just one of the leagues best players, but honestly the best German CM I've seen since Oberdorf/Marozsan...:coffee:; Wrede would be an insane free transfer that instantly upgrades Bayern's push for UWCL success.

I know Bayern will seek/want UWCL level experience, but these 3 players would be fantastic recruitment by Bayern, as they are future wnt talents, who would all strengthen the key areas that failed the team in the UWCL last season.

A first season in the 1.Bundesliga with highlights like this...o_O. Combine Wrede's qualities within a mid-field featuring Oberdorf and Tanikawa, Bayern are instantly upgraded over what was witnessed this season.

    --------------- Tanikawa/Alara ---------------
    Oberdorf/Casuro ------ Wrede/Zadrazil
This hypothetical collection of mid-fielders would be a serious upgrade over anything that was witnessed within last seasons Bayern lol...:speechless:

Transfer rumour... Bayern München is a frontrunner in a move for FC Twente attacker Sophie Proost...:confused:o_O

What little I know about Proost, she's a CAM/AM. This not a position Bayern needs to look for new options. To me, if true... this sounds like peak stupidity lol.

Bayern needs nne more FB, DM/CM, and another more transitional style wide forward option.

A 19yo Proost when you have AM options like Tanikawa, Alara, Casruso, Oberdorf, Dallmann, Dunst in your first team is stupid lol.

Oh... Bayern have also elevated teenage CAM's Potsi, and Portella, to their 1st team too.

CB Greta Stegemann leaves SC Freiburg and joins newly promoted VfB Stuttgart.

And I'm starting to decect a pattern now, where the newly promoted teams coming into this league, are no longer unprepared or overwhelmed by the step up in quality anymore.

HSV were young, brave, with some talent which made them fun to watch. But once relegation got real, they went and strengthened their 1st team, and replaced their coach.

This level of ambition was never even a close to reality for newly promoted teams in the past, and this gradual increased competitiveness finally negatively effected Essen's ability to avoid the relegation zone.

So knowing next seasons battle at the bottom will be even rougher, the gap between 14th and 10th place being even closer, does this see Leipzig fall back into the relegation zones...:cautious:

RB Leipzig the 10th place team this season, actually having a squad that I thought underachievers with access to talent that could have easily competed within clubs placed #6 to #3.

Maybe we enter a scenario Leipzig, and Werder Bremen lose anymore of their key talents, they become the next in line to be fighting relegation if they the don't take HSV, Nürnberg, Stuttgart, all very seriously.

Kaneryd says she's open to leaving Chelsea... this being a player I said would be a perfect option to strengthen Bayern's winger depth.

Baum the better long term option, Kaneryd's proven quality and direct to a fault style, would be the instant impact short term option for Bayern to improve their attack for the UWCL.

    Chantal Hagel joins VfB Stuttgart

Leaving the Spanish league FC Sevilla, the 27yo former wnt AM/CM returns back to the Bundesliga to join the newly promoted club.

Again... it's very clear the newly promoted teams are becoming more and more agressive in key transfers that will keep them in the nations top division.

regarding Laura Freigang, she wasn’t found guilty of doping but three times of not being at the same time/location when being checked. It’s still determined whether she will face any kind of punishment

Someone's already leaked the information that Cerci has signed for Arsenal lol.

I hope for her future this is to play as a striker, because depending how this goes, her WC place is honestly in the balance...:cautious:

Cerci will not be part of Wück's squad if the full pool of winger options are healthy, and all in form.

    @Lohmann couple of questions;
    1)
I read somewhere out there in the internet that Bayer Lev’s CB, Lena Ostermeier signed with Dortmund, but now can’t find the original post. It would be really odd for an potential future/promising NT to want to to go play 3rd tier Regional soccer(or even if it made div 2), that’s why I want to know if it’s true or not

    2) is there anything unusual currently happening at Soccerdonna? It’s been the go to site for me(well Facebook site), especially since they scooped major transfer news before anybody else, but lately nada. I mean make source Guardian already got Putellas officially moving to London & also nothing as well on the Danish striker, Vansgaard transfer to that club. I wonder if Soccerdonna has joined the anti Michelle Kang sentiment that’s seems to be so prevalent among international woso fans these days?
