Bundesliga 2025/26 - Is there a league after Lohmann?

Watching the RB Leipzig Vs Bayer Leverkusen match, is like watching a u23 wnt training session lol. Honestly, the amount of impressive talent all age 23 or under on both teams was really impressive.

Dudek constantly battling Bender, while the other side of the field witnessed Wamser Vs Baum being the other standout factors in this game.

Even the central mid-field was basically another u23 battle between Zdebel - Piljic Vs Asgeirsdottir and Schasching. As the contest of forwards saw Boboy not scoring, yet still be the best forward on the field when compared to the efforts of Kramer - Fudalla.

Seeing Piljic's all round game continue to grow at Leverkusen, it's honestly a shame she's leaving their young team to try and take the next step towards eventually becoming a prominent member of the senior wnt.

But if it's obvious Piljic is very close to being a credible member of the senior wnt, Baum is the player who continues to demonstrate a level of development that surely makes her a gaurenteed success within the senior team.

If Bender still frustratingly immature in how she plays, Baum as the younger winger is actually displaying shockingly impressive levels of mature decision making, and execution.

Baum consistently being able to cut back inside to shoot, or drive past her defender to cross, only bettered by her showcasing intelligent off ball movement, to then utilize her 1v1 speed to attack open space. Baum is looking like the real deal...

 

I also didn't realise Müller was leaving Leipzig to join Leverkusen.... Leverkusen having Sternad as a wide option, with Müller also have some needed extra depth.

The question for Leverkusen would be can they help Kowalski regain her 2023/24 form, where she was legitimately one of the best AM's in the league..?

Replacing Piljic with a more offensive CM, comes with the cost of Kowalksi bringing a more limited quality of defending. Making ne wonder if Leverkusen plan on elevating one of their u19 CM's to the 1st team..

Defensively Leverkusen already have a full selection of wnt level defenders. The double 6 talented, but still a question. The attack potentially strong, but still not fully productive. If Leverkusen want to catch Frankfurt, they'll need their attack to provide significantly more goals.

Leipzig look like they could be in trouble next season though. And might be smart to take a look at offering a home to a few of the best players from the two relegated teams.

I don't see how Baum will be playing for Leipzig next season, once again my thoughts are Bayern the perfect home for her qualities to legitimately upgrade their right side of attack...

With this trio, I'm convinced Bayern would not only break the club record scoring numbers they set this season, but gain a level of improved effectiveness in transition, that should also make this team better in the UWCL too.

 

I feel like this transfer to Arsenal is going to end badly...

Cerci is not a winger, but this is what Arsenal appear to wnt her to be for them.

Anyomi confirms she's leaving... but to join which club..? Reuteler joining Arsenal, Reisen linked to the WSL, while Senß said to be the target of Real Madrid, or Bayern.

I also thought Lührßen was meant to be leaving Frankfurt too; meaning Frankfurt would be without either first choice FB options next season...

I feel like Bayern would benefit from Senß, but have seen no sign Bayern are going to do the correct thing and actively seek to upgrade their mid-field depth.

But Anyomi was linked to PSG last time I saw news concerning potential transfers. Meaning should Anyomi leave Germany, it would see all but one of Wück's 1st team attacking options playing abroad next season...

I honestly don't see Anyomi joining Wolfsburg anymore, with the wait for BVB to join the top division the difference between Germany having another club capable of retaining more established wnt talent.

Endemann, Schüller, Cerci, Martinez, all in England. I think Anyomi set to join Brand as the next German wnt player in France.

If none of the strikers play well in their new Clubs... I fear it opens up a clear pathway for Wück to force a mediocre Hoffmann straight back into being a 1st choice selection...

Oh... and with all this change at Frankfurt, why is Arnautis still head coach..?

Bayern are exactly as expected in their starting 11. I'm guessing this will be Wolfsburg attempting to sit deep and find opportunities to score through counter attacks.

Personally I would never start Beerensteyn in this game, as Endemann a far better team based player in scenarios like this.

Bayern are clear favorites to win, but whenever Popp plays in these games, she tends to find a way to make a significant contribution...

Bayern set to have a clear path to domestic title and cup success for the nest 3 years. So this game being Popp's final appearance should be a clear line in the sand where one dynasty ends, and another dynasty potentially makes it clear who's the nations new dominant force

 

No... Wolfsburg waited ALL SEASON to use Beerensteyn out wide...

It's 4 at the back, Minge in a CM role. Which probably means Endemann didn't recover from injury in time to start.

 

breaking news, arguably Germany’s shortest player, Kristen Kogel, moves from Leverkusen to French league, Strasbourg. The Bundesliga is cooked!

 

25 mins played theres a water break, and it's actually been a very even contest so far. I think Amani is incrediblly mediocre, and yet again not doing enough to help Tanikawa recieve passes in area's she can do more damage.

But I find it hallarious watching Lerch wait ALL SEASON to finally use Beerensteyn out wide... Wolfsburg's most balanced starting 11 is on show with two games left to play.

Should be 2-0 Bayern at HT. Bad miss by Harder, after some poor defending from Kleinherne (she can't head the ball...)... sorry... not Kleinherne, someone missed a very simple header (I think Linder)

 

Very even match for 45 mins, decided by two VAR calls where Beerensteyn probably feeling unlucky on the nature of both outcomes.

Both teams have annoying CM's who either incapable or uncomfortable passing the ball forward..., it's seen the tempo far slower than it needs to be.

Wolfsburg doing surprisingly well to keep Kett and Bühl relatively quiet on their right, also has Beerensteyn being their biggest outlet on quick transitional play.

Popp causing Bayern's CB's a few issues when she come deep to link play, Bayern haven't been able to get the ball to Tanikawa to do the same.

This game isn't over... but Wolfsburg are going to need to showcase more quality on the ball to exploit spaces behind Bayern's initial press.

 

It's also good seeing Wück watching this game live, as Lattwein wnt's career stalled with her injuries, he gets to view her in a legit high level contest.

I imagine he's more interested in seeing how Kleinherne and Küver look together, as this potentially a starting duo for his WC team.

Minge the player who missed the easy header which lead to Harder almost making it 2-0. Her general contribution to Wolfsburg's mid-field has been frustrating viewing at times...

Bayern have the advantages of being a more settled team, while Wolfsburg mainly a group of misfits who combine to produce random moments of quality.

I think Wück might be watching this with his biggest observation being focused on the positives and negatives of the Küver - Kleinherne CB partnership.

 

Hallarious how Lattwein looks to make forward passes ALL THE TIME.

She doesn't care about waiting for her forwards to make the correct run, she's instantly looking to force forward passes every time she touches the ball.

When she played next to Oberdorf, with Sellner and Pajor as forwards, Lattwein's style was perfect. But now... yeah, times have changed lol
