i guess it did make news even on HOF's Facebook page, highlights along with 144 posts already how badly offside it was (14) Facebook

Lilli Purtscheller has signed a contract to join Werder Bremen next season. When healthy, Purtscheller for consecutive seasons within an overachiever Essen team, producing the leagues highest total of successful dribbles. Werder's team about to be completely dismantled, but with Mahmoud and Purtscheller both healthy, Werder have instantly upgraded over what they had on both wings this season. Honestly... not getting Purtscheller, Leverkusen might have missed a legit opportunity to upgrade their wings, in the process upgrading their overall attack...
With Bayern giving surprise league debuts to both Zahringer, and Gmeinede, it now means all 3 of the DFB's u17 girls Fritz-Walter medallists played first team league football this season... Luzie Zähringer (Gold), Lotta Wrede (Silver), Marie Gmeinede (Bronze); Bayern would also give game time to Portella, having already signed u19 wnt memeber Potsi from Essen for next season too. All this showcasing Bayern with a new level of commitment to their youth program, in a way I can't remember ever seeing showcased like this before... Lohmann and Kett, the two previous prominent names that stand out as Bayern youth team players who've been able to come through and fully establish themselves as strong 1st team regulars. Having seen all these young players within the u19 wnt, it's hard to identify anyone beyond Wrede as a gaurenteed star. But it will be interesting see if one of Zähringer, Gmeinede, Portella, Potsi, can actually establish a permanent role within Bayern's 1st team squad.
ESPN's top 10 ranking of club coaches in women's football... 1. Jonatan Giráldez 2. Sonia Bompastor 3. Renée Slegers 4. Juan Carlos Amorós 5. Andrée Jeglertz 6. Pere Romeu 7. Alex Straus 8. Seb Hines 9. Stephan Lerch 10. Laura Harvey
I think the best German club coach over the past 5-8 years in women's club football has been Markus Högner... Currently the coach of a Regionaliga level BVB with some major 1.Bundesliga ambitions. But for multiple seasons not only did he keep Essen in the league, he helped bring through a host of impressive young talent, playing good football, even managing top 4 finishes on more than one occasion too. However.... this ESPN list feeling like it was looking to add a coach of German nationality to the final top 10, it's must have been between Lerch and Arnautis, with the selection being Lerch simply based on the teams UWCL quarter final run. Is Lerch really better than Arnautis though. .. seeing how Lerch's one season at Hoffenheim aka without the luxury of being part of an elite club, saw him finish 5th place in the 2023/24 season behind 4th place Essen, and Arnautis' 3rd place Frankfurt...
However, our Head Coach added that Vivianne Miedema and Sydney Lohmann will be absent from the squad in our 12:00 (UK) kick-off at the Joie Stadium, as well as young midfielder Aemu Oyama. “No changes on the Viv Miedema situation and Sydney is still out also."
Lohmann could have honestly stayed on Bayern's bench under Starus, waited for him to leave, and still found more opportunities to play regular football within Barcala's Bayern team... Other prominent wnt mid-fielders like Oberdorf and Lattwein have been injured for long periods of time, but why does Lohmann's time at Man City feel like she's actually m fully healthy, but for reasons still unexplained not selected to play... No other clubs will pay a fee for Lohmann now... so would Man City terminate her contract early...? How does a 25yo German senior international, with so much elite level experience, become semi retired without evidence if injury, or other health concerns...
You can find images of Lohmann training, her team mates talking about Lohmann being part of the team too, as the wnt coach says if she plays she comes back into his squad plans. None of this sounding like a player who's health is preventing them from playing regular football... Man City needing to let Lohmann go on loan, or terminate her contract for her to get any realistic opportunities to fight for the WC squad. Frankfurt litrally deviod of any credible CM's next season, even if it's just a season long loan, surely Lohmann can see the potential positives in making a very obvious decision here...
Köln Vs Werder Bremen has a really big attendance... Köln just took a 1-0 lead through a Andrade goal.
With an FOTMOB 8.7 rating, Brand mvp of the match! If she replicate that game winning goal in the final, Jule might be up for Ballon D’Or!
Köln - Bremen 3:0(2:0) (Attendance:30411) Andrade(20), Stolze(36), Jessen(54) Wolfsburg - Leipzig 3:2(0:1) Minge(59), Lattwein(66,84) - Chmielinski(9,90+1)
Lyon reach another UWCL final thanks to a Jule Brand winner... but why are people online talking about Brand being included in any conversations for a Ballon D'or... Just looking at the top German players, how are people talking about Brand, when Bühl's season has seen her producing offensive numbers far ahead of European football very best...? And I feel like I've followed Brand close enough this season to say without a doubt, only one month featuring two strong performances Vs Arsenal, isn't enough to diminish the overall better seasons produced by other Lyon players Bacha, or Dumornay. I'm pleased for Brand... but this season she's honestly been better for the wnt than she has Lyon. With her match data not coming close to placing her alongside Europe's best attackers (just yet..). Just basic levels of analysis for women's football this season, should remove any possibility of Brand recieving a late lazy push for a Ballon D'or nomination.
I've been saying this for a while now... but Baum needs to be part of the senior wnt... . Physically she meets all the criteria set by the wnt coaches, and continues to display a level of skill for high speed dribbling that fits the profile of Bühl, Brand, and Endemann. Moving into central spaces she's developed a legitimate shot. And in wide areas she also found a consistent ability to cross too. The way Baum eliminates Linder and Küver for the first goal is fantastic, and to still posses the composure to produce an accurate pass in such a crowded penalty box... this is typically a level of quality we only see in this league from Bühl
Johannes.... oh, Johannes..... I thought Frohms was bad at dealing with crosses, and then Johannes joins Wolfsburg, and she sets a new low for being truly incompetent at this one basic GK task... Seriously... I don't waste my time assessing GK's anymore. But how do the wnt coaches justify Johannes being their #2 option..? I've never seen a wnt GK bullied inside their own penalty box in the way Johannes continously does lol. Beerensteyn is already mentally somewhere other than Wolfsburg, and honestly shouldn't be considered a starter for the cup final if Popp has any ability to wear the Jersey one last time. Lattwein surprisingly being used to replace Beerensteyn in attack, would somehow manage to do a better job as a forward Vs Leipzig than Beerensteyn's entire 60 min display lol. Lattwein's 30 min effort as a forward another reminder of what this team missed from her as a CM this season. I'm trying to understand what Wolfsburg's ambitions are going to be now, when their defense and mid-field looks legitimately UWCL level good, but the attack... potentially closer to a mid table 1.Bundesliga level of underwhelming... Do Wolfsburg still have the ambition to recruit the types of attacking talent that allows the to compete in against Bayern, or rival UWCL teams...? Zicai, Bussy, Hoffmann, Huth simply isn't enough.
Leipzig could have some real issues retaining talent this summer. Landenberger, Schimmer, Müller, and Baum, all names who could play for stronger teams domestically, or abroad. When you look at their talent, Leipzig probably the leagues biggest underachievers this season; Werder Bremen only one place ahead of Leipzig last season (7th), have stayed around the same position while Leipzig fallen to 10th. If I'm Bayern's director of football, looking to continue their collection of young domestic wnt talent, the obvious move here is to recruit Baum for the right wing... Older more established foriegn names would be available to Bayern, but there's already strong signs with Baum to suggest she's quickly evolving into a legit goal threat.
Bayern's starting 11 with Tanikawa, Bühl, Harder, potentially featuring the best player on the field, and at the same time the worst in Amani... No LB too lol, good luck... there going to need it today.
