Frankfurt... who knows what Frankfurt will look like next season... The addition of Mühlhaus making zero sense if the club set to contunue using Arnautis' diamond system. Defense and mid-field, both underwhelming this seaosn about to be dismantled. Should Leverkusen's young wnt talent continue to improve, and they sign a real left winger alongside finding some CM depth... they could be a threat to 3rd place next season. If everyone projected leaves is true... this club will need to do fantastic recruitment to rebuild a completely new starting 11, and maintain the inconsistent levels witnessed this season...
Wow... Pilijic scored a genuine goal of the season contender Vs Freiburg... Leverkusen lead 3-0 at HT.
Brand's positioning for Lyon is still hallarious. She's a winger when it comes to defensive responsibility, but she converts into being a CM in the attack phases of play. The big difference I'm seeing now, is Brand no longer making so many idiotic decisions with the ball in central areas of the field. Rather than mindlessly running into congested spaces, she's actually passing the ball one and two touch (like a AM) Still disappointing seeing Brand refuse to attack open spaces like a winger/wide forward, but at least she's matured her game to be effective in the central spaces she used to negatively effect her teams balance.
Sydney has not been seen playing for either club or country for quite an while now, but maybe she's spotted in this vid? btw Jule got an 8.0 rating & pog from FOTMOB despite her club evntually loosing 2-1 against Arsenal
Frankfurt - Wolfsburg 3:1(2:0) Anyomi(27), Memeti(44), Riesen(46) - Minge(84p) Leverkusen - Freiburg 4:1(3:0) Piljic(4), Merino(9), Kramer(38p), Wamser(57) - Bienz(85) 2.Bundesliga Ingolstadt - Mönchengladbach 1:2 Stuttgart - Meppen 2:0 Andernach - Wolfsburg II 2:0 Viktoria Berlin - Wolfsburg II 1:0 Mainz - Bochum 3:0 Potsdam - Warbeyen 3:0 Sand - Bayern II 2:0 (Bayern goalkeeper Anna Klink was sent off in the 1st minute and Bayern had no reserve goalkeeper. So field player Eszter Reszler had to go in goal and saved some shots with her legs where a real goalkeeper would have used her hands.) 1.Stuttgart 51 73-30 2.Sand 51 49-20 3.Mainz 46 64-28 4.Meppen 43 51-22 5.Viktoria Berlin 38 35-19 6.Ingolstadt 35 40-39 7.Bochum 32 31-32 8.Andernach 31 35-38 9.Potsdam 27 33-42 10.Mönchengladbach 27 30-46 11.Frankfurt II 24 30-36 12.Bayern II 24 35-57 13.Wolfsburg II 19 35-66 14.Warbeyen 6 20-86
Mühlhaus broke the single season record for penalty kicks scored. In her AM role she's also at the very top of the table of shot attempts this season; yet you can count on one hand the amount of goals she's actually scored within open play.
Anyomi is still holding talks with Frankfurt to potentially extend her current contract with the club... Former wnt captain Babett Peter the new director of Frankfurt's women, having a huge task rebuilding a squad this summer. Keeping Anyomi would be honestly huge for Frankfurt. And a real positive sign for someone like Mühlhaus who chose to ignore Wolfsburg to join Frankfurt.
I can see Lisa Baum being a transfer target for a few higher ranked clubs this summer... in my opinion, Baum someone I also wouldn't be surprised to see elevated into the senior wnt very soon too... She's showcasing impressice developments in her game right now, that I'm sure will almost instantly translate to her being a highly effective wide forward for the senior wnt. Zicai on the back of a 8 goal 4 assists season, was recruited by Wolfsburg, having already been elevated to the senior wnt. At club level Baum is ahead of where Zicai was age 19, and posses all the technical and athletic attributes present in the games best attackers too. Having seen other players selected for the senior wnt having done less, the 5 goal, 2 assists of Baum's season won't tell you she's also a top 10 player for chances created. Baum continues to improve at her current rate, her success percentages in dribbling will rise, creating even clearer opportunities for goal/assists.
Foriegn Watch... Nüsken played the full 90 mins for Chelsea again. A regular now in the AM position where she cotinues to play for club and country; not scoring or assisting any goals, she seemed to have produced a steady performance overall in her teams comfortable 1-4 victory Vs Everton. Martinez featured in 81 mins of her teams victory in the battle of the bottom dwellers Vs Liverpool. Only one shot recorded on goal from Martinez... it was apparently another quiet day for the so far 6 goal 0 assist senior wnt Martinez... Schüller's time in the WSL continues to be ridiculously underwhelming. Again... no shots on goal; but having seen Man Utd's horrible style of play, I think it only right to also say this bad run of form not completely her fault. Knaak didn't have a good day in Man City's 3-2 defeat to mid table Brighton. But it's always funny seeing how much more work her CB partner Rose will do every game lol... As I've already mentioned, Kössler continues to score goals in America. But Lohmann has somehow managed to find herself completely removed from another Man City match day squad.. I never liked the way Magull would leave German football, and said I didn't see the point following her time in Italy... but I think it only right I mention she's helped Inter Milan finish 2nd place this season, in the proccess qualifying for next seasons UWCL...
If Frankfurt can retain Anyomi... Memeti ---- Anyomi/Chiba ---- Blomqvist/Raso Maintaining 3rd place goal production levela is high. Maybe the addition of one more forward/wide forward needed for extra depth though. If Frankfurt can retain Gräwe... Mühlhaus/Ivelj --------- Freigang/Teulings ---------------- Gräwe/I.Acikgöz ------------------- Mühlhaus generating ALOT of chances for herself and others. Moving Freigang back into a more defined AM role, she should also be an upgrade on whatever asking Senẞ or Gräwe to push forward into advanced areas of the field. D.Acikgöz ----------------------------------------- Wolter ----------- Veit ------- Ilestedt/Doorsoun ---------- The defense easily the weakest element of this team right now. 38 goals conceeded so far this season, last season it was 22 total (their best total since 2015..) Meaning it's obvious where Frankfurt will urgently need to identify new international level recruits. GK: Altenburg, Winkler Winkler was set to be Germany's #1 GK for the Euro's... but injury removed her from football for what feels like a suspiciously long time... If she does return for next season, and regains her past form, Frankfurt will have a legitimate wnt level #1 GK again. At least 4 more international quality players needed overall if Frankfurt have any hopes for UWCL group stage qualification. But they retain both Anyomi, and Gräwe, Frankfurt should at least be able to protect 3rd place from any coming challengers... and maybe push for 2nd if Wolfsburg's keep Lerch, and don't improve their attack...
LOL... how do the wnt coaches watch Cerci, and think she's not better than Hoffmann, or Martinez... And how do the wnt coaches watch Cerci play, and come to the conclusion her skill set is better used as a winger...
Is it normal to have a senior intentional level footballer removed from 1st team match day squads, without any mention of why they're constantly missing...? No matter where I look, I never see any firm reasons provided for Lohmann's absence from Man City's 1st team. And the silence on this matter is even more confusing, when players on Man City's team continue to talk about Lohmann as if she's 100% healthy, and fully intergrated into the squad... See... if Lohmann's physically incapable of playing a consistent number of games, why is Wück selecting her for his wnt reserve lists, and talking about her needing to regain regular match time...? Ever since Straus removed Lohmann from Bayern's 1st team, and actively refused to use her as a CM, we've seen her career stall and basically end up flatlining at Man City. So what's really causing this prolonged downward spiral for Lohmann... and can it be fixed..?
Hoffenheim just destroyed Köln 6-2, with Cerci scoring a hattrick with 2 assists, producing her 2nd 10 rating this season... Again... HOW do the wnt coaches watch Cerci play, and not see her #1 or #2 best striker they can select to start games? Cerci the leagues leading scorer now with 15 goals. But it's frustrating seeing how good she is, knowing she'll have to leave this league to validate her belief she the wnt's #1 striker. Wolfsburg really messed up in their recent attempts to get Cerci, meaning a rival club outside 1.Bundesliga is about to sign Germany's real #1 striker...
WOW... if we wanted a true sign this season a turning point in German women's football... I can't see any better than we're about to witness Wolfsburg miss out being able to recruit the nations top 2 offensive talents... We know why Fudalla isn't being considered relevant for any level of international football. But with Cerci and Mühlhaus the leagues other two prominent wnt offensive talents, it's significant to think Wolfsburg couldn't attract either player to join them. LOL.. Wolfsburg just missed out assembling a new core of wnt players... WF ------------ Cerci -------------- WF --------------- Mühlhaus --------------- -------- Piljic ------- Lattwein -------- LB -------------------------------- Linder ------ Küver ------- Kleinherne ------ ------------- Johannes ----------------- Bench: Minge, Zicai, Hoffmann Regardless of how close Wolfsburg ever were to recruit like this, Bayern simply adding one real right sided winger to their team, would have been more than enough to keep them clear of anyone challenging them for a title anytime soon. But it does reveal Wolfsburg did in fact have a genuine vision in place for a positive life beyond Kellermann and Popp no longer being at the club.
Hoffenheim - Köln 6:2(4:1) Steiner(2), Cerci(7,41,90), van Dijk(19), Grimm(90+4) - Andrade(10), Jessen(50) 1.Bayern 64 84-8 (1 match less) 2.Wolfsburg 49 62-33 3.Frankfurt 45 57-38 4.Hoffenheim 41 45-29 5.Leverkusen 40 38-32 6.Bremen 37 32-30 (1 match less) 7.Freiburg 30 36-40 8.Köln 28 28-36 9.Union Berlin 27 39-45 10.Leipzig 27 36-42 11.Nürnberg 19 28-54 12.Hamburger SV 18 25-53 13.Essen 15 21-55 14.Jena 11 21-57
I like reading Batfink’s posts as much as the to two other regular readers on this thread, but lately he’s become too… how do I say it….batfink-y-ish, especially calling that hair pulling shouldn’t be an red. Or does he think it’s their own fault for not putting their hair in a bun ala 19th century Mennonite’s wife? Surprised as well coming from someone who’s favorite players keep getting injured over & over again(Oberdorf, Popp, Hegering, Lohmann ….and now, poor Lotta) Hair pulling is very dangerous & can cause harm & should be absolutely banned. and got to calm out as well he’s day dreaming charts of what Wolfsburg should look like. Muhlhaus already signed Frankfurt/Cerci been noncommittal, the hope here she stays at Hoffenheim as it’s an club that exploits her potential to the fullest instead of somewhere she’ll end as an an part time sub. Good news at Wolfsburg finally getting rid of the selfish Bereensteyn(hopefully she’ll stay out of the Bundesliga), but this club’s reputation for her hurting careers of players is why I like for especially to stay away from. Not a great fan of the WSL either, so hopefully Cerci makes her way to the USA instead!
So.... with Simon joining Leverkusen on a 2 year contract, doesn't this confirm one of Wamser, Gonzalez, Mickenhagen, are about to leave...?
Leverkusen managing to retain all 3 of their young international level FB's always seemed unlikely. And no way does a 33yo Simon rejoin one of her her former clubs, sounds like she's expecting to sit on the bench... Gonzalez a member of u23's, and primarily a RB. Mickenhagen a member of the u23's, and primarily a LB. Wamser a member of the senior wnt, fully capable of playing both RB and LB. I'd guess this would mean Wamser joining a rival 1.Bundesliga side, or potentially becoming the latest wnt player chosing to move abroad? Anyway... Leverkusen actually in a strange position to have enough talent to cope with the loss of Wamser. The question about next seasons Leverkusen being can they keep their young core together, and see Kowalski regain top form to replace the role of Piljic, with Leverkusen in genuine need of a real left side winger too.
Wow... The Union Berlin women's team, which will be coached by Marie-Louise Eta next season, triggered the 200,000 € clause to buy Lisanne Gräwe from Frankfurt... Union Berlin taking two of the best players from 3rd and 4th place teams is crazy lol. And I wonder if they intend to continue this level of ambition by recruiting more international quality players from the leagues higher ranked teams.. A senior wnt Gräwe, leaving a 3rd place Frankfurt, to join 9th place Union Berlin is legit crazy lol. So has the club promised more quality like Janssens will be joining...? Gräwe, and Janssens, are UWCL quality talents. Gräwe spending a long time last season being a better player than current wnt regular Senß...
Welkom, Lobke Loonen! 🇳🇱👋Die Niederländerin wechselt zur neuen Saison vom FC Utrecht zu den #Bayer04Frauen und hat einen Vertrag bis 2028 unterschrieben ✍️#Werkself | #Loonen pic.twitter.com/wuGBQIvFjR— Bayer 04 Leverkusen (@bayer04fussball) April 27, 2026 Age 23, and currently one of the Eredivisie's top 3 scorers... not sure what her expectations should be in 1.Bundesliga if Fudalla, Kramer still at Leverkusen... But Leverkusen needs more goals, making this good; but primarily winger depth is what they need to upgrade most.
LOL... Manchester United were supposedly the favorites to sign Gräwe. I guess she actually watched them play... Seriously though... I'm thinking Union Berlin must have given Gräwe some major promises to continue recruiting higher level talent this summer. Apparently nobody in Germany caring about UWCL football...; it feels plausible Union Berlin could actually attract increasingly stronger talents to their project. Reuteler, Gräwe, transfers announced... up next do we hear the next destination of Senß, and potentially Freigang too...? Frankfurt's mid-field completely obliterated. Mühlhaus a good start in rebuilding what's about to be lost. But damn... Peter has a major task rebuilding this clubs 1st team this summer.
With confirmation Beerensteyn is leaving Wolfsburg, media also reported the club are supposed to be interested in strengthening their attack with options like Mara Alber, Shekiera Martinez, Marie Steiner and Switzerland u19 wnt player Emanuela Pfister.... If this is true... maybe Alber 2 years ago would have made sense, while Martinez sounds like a joke when Wolfsburg's only other striker next season remains a highly suspect entity on the elite stage. Honestly, Marie Steiner is the only name here who could be a good choice in the future if she's being assessed for her qualities within a CAM/AM role. To me, this list of names reading like it was randomly generated from within a club without a director of football... oh wait lol... ... surely this can't be Wolfsburg's reality next season lol --------------- Martinez/Hoffmann -------------------- Bussy/Zicai ------------------------------ Huth/Alber
while it’s nice to see Selina Cerci get an hat trick & temporary goal scoring league leader lead over Queen B, Pernille Harder, unfortunately there’s world wide controversy(or at least in woso( over her first goal as most observers would say it was offsides by an wide margin. is this another black eye for Frauen Bundesliga referees or is hardly anybody paying attention to this within Germany itself?
