That's why you can vote for Lohmann. Bayern had beaten Barcelona when Lohmann played for Bayern.

besides the goal, Kett’s been Bayern’s best player, marking Hansen pretty much out of the game

Spoke to soon, Kett with a red for pulling Salma’s hair. She’ll miss the return match

Exactly like I said during the Euro's... long braided hair is TOO LONG, becoming an unesssary distraction. And it's obvious players aren't trying to grab it intentionally, when shirt pulls continue to be a normal element of the game.

Arsenal women recently having a blatantly worse hair pull go unpunished, once again highlighting the human error factor of VAR.

But I feel there needs to be a rule introduced to women's football on the nature of hair length. Players trying to grab jerseys for a yellow card, accidentally grabbing stupidly long (fake) hair shouldn't instantly be punished with red cards.

If it's a rule to cut nails to a certain length, I'm sure FIFA can instruct women with extentions to just tie the hair up at a certain length...

The fact Bayern found a 1-1 draw with Amani in central mid-field is incredible lol.

The red card situation is..., as this pushes a weak Bayern squad even closer to its breaking point of talent.

Scared to death for 30 mins of the 1st half, it was good to see Bayern actually showcase their intent to play football with Barca for the following 40-50 mins of the 90.

But the fear is now the first match potentually as good as it gets for Bayern... where beating Barca away from home already a ridiculous task, the red card situation with player and coach making it even harder..:speechless:

"Why is hair pulling happening so much more in women's football"...o_O:rolleyes:

If people don't want serious answers, don't ask unserious questions lol.

A super phsyical sport like the NFL says tackling a player by their hair is 100% legal, because long hair is considered an extension of the uniform.

In global soccer, we see eregious amounts of jersey pulling constantly allowed; even though FIFA considers this to be a holding offense, punishable by a direct Free Kick or penalty kick.

So why are soccer referees (VAR) so inconsistent with hair pulling right now, when the rules of the game are already straight forward in issuing yellow cards in moments jersey pulling occurs without any obvious signs of DOGSO...

One of these images resulted in a red card and penalty. One of these just saw a red card. And another moment here seeing the use VAR determine no further action was warranted lol.
    upload_2026-4-26_0-35-8.jpeg

Either FIFA set clear rules about the nature of hair length (hair being considered part of the jersey). Or have these situations handled with less random objectivity, knowing this game not all jersey pulling offenses even result in cautions (freekicks, yellow or red cards).

In my opinion 90% of these being unintentional grabbing of the hair, If every hair pulling incident a red card offense now, shouldn't ever jersey pull ANYWHERE on the field have the same consequence.

Yeah... watching the whole game... wow, Kett was legitimately all set to end the game POTM; and then the red card from nowhere lol...:speechless:.

Another standout performance for Kett in what appears to be her break out season. A player I said was only needing to finding effectiveness in the attack before she could be considered world class, is currently on the path towards doing exactly that.

Bühl returning also a huge positive for Bayern. Her ability to generate chances for others being elite. Vs Barcelona, you could also see her ability to retain possession under pressure and provide strong defensive contributions, a huge positive for this team.

21% overall possession for Bayern wasn't helped by them not having anyone in mid-field who could effectively showcase elite press resistance through ball carrying.

Tanikawa and Stanway typically the heartbeat of the way this team moves the ball forward, seeing neither player able to produce the killer pass to set Harder free.

However... its honestly unfair on both Stanway and Tanikawa, to play alongside Amani contributing so little. Finding a draw with the 3rd wheel backwards passing fraud like Amani in the mid-field, impressive lol.

Tanikawa would make more tackles Vs Barca than Amani, showcasing the ridiculous handicap this team had to suffer for 90 mins. Which is another reason why I'm shocked Dunst previously an impressive all action CM at Frankfurt, isn't being trusted to play in CM for Bayern...

Gwinn in my opinion having a very inconsistent season, and would be at fault for the opening goal. But Gwinn recovered to make many positive contributions to stifle the always dangerous Pina.

José Barcala (Bayern Munich coach) on Franziska Kett’s red card: “It’s unfair because Salma [Paralluelo] has very long hair and there was no intent. My player was trying to grab her shirt. It should have been a yellow card.”

Pernille Harder on Franziska Kett's red card: “Franzi would never intentionally pull someone’s hair. Maybe she was trying to grab the jersey and accidentally caught the hair instead.”

Kössler is playing really well for her NWSL club. Adapting her style to the more transitional 1v1 focus of the US league, she actually looks like a legitimate lone forward now...:speechless:

Retaining possesion, and linking play with progressive passing, something she was already really good at providing a team. But seeing how much she's improved her 1v1 dribbling/shot creation...

Only seeing highlights, it's really not the best way to asses overall performance. But I genuinely hope the wnt coahces are paying attention to Kössler's continued development in America

Every week since match day 1, I keep saying Wolfsburg look terrible... but wow, they somehow continue to look worse and worse as their season limps to an end.

And I'm convinced they need to find a new director of football ASAP, as I can't imagine things improving next season if Lerch remains head coach...:cautious:

A highly underwhelming Frankfurt are about to take all 6 points from both meetings with Wolfsburg this season lol.

Frankfurt currently 4 points behind Wolfsburg in second place too... 3 games left Vs Leipzig, Freiburg, Nürnberg, it still feels like there would need to be an insane collapse for Wolfsburg to exit 2nd place...

Wolfsburg showing no effort defending, and having zero quality in attack... the fact Frankfurt still have to face Bayern should still almost gaurentee Wolfsburg 2nd place this season.

WOB took Kuver out pretty early, but the thing is she’s playing way too high for an CB & not back tracking for Frankfurt’s fast breaks 3-0 after poor GK being. Officially the GK’s name should be Tutekovic, but the commentator keeps calling her Markovic(or close to something like it) and that’s she’s only 18 year old

LOL... Frankfurt should feel like idiots. They could have easily finished 2nd over Wolfsburg this season.

The battle of two highly underwhelming teams, Frankfurt have managed to produce some truly disgraceful results this season, preventing them from already being in 2nd place this season.

Wolfsburg and Frankfurt are set to be weaker next season... making it a disappointing scenario to think Hoffenheim and Leverkusen unlikely to improve offensively enough to close the gap on the 2nd and 3rd place clubs.

Hoffenheim also likely to be losing more offensive talent, I believe the only hope here would be Leverkusen retaining talent, having younger names continue maturing, as Fudalla and Kramar finally learn to be effective at the same time.

Leverkusen a side currently 20+ goals away from the two 2nd and 3rd place clubs. Without Bender waking up to her true potential, and a new scoring option arriving, it's difficult to see how this gap closes without Frankfurt, or Wolfsburg, getting significantly worse...

Again... Bayern are set to face ZERO domestic level threat over the next 3 years.

Considering the talent at the club, Wolfsburg are significantly worse than they really should be.

While Frankfurt remaining a huge unknown factor as long as Arnautis remains in control of the clubs rebuilding process.

Also neither of these clubs showcasing the ability to retain talent, to construct teams to pose any legitimate title chalange.

And what's even weirder about this, is watching neither club so far showcase the ability to attract or aggregate the best domestic talents within their squads anymore...

Nelly Smolarczyk replaced Tufekovic who had muscular problems. Johannes was suspended after her red card against Union Berlin.

    Wolfsburg core next season....
    ---------------------- Peddamors -------------------
    ---------- Lattwein ----------- Kielland/Piljic ------------
    Levels ------------------------------------ Linder/Bjelde ------- Küver/Bergvand ---- Kleinherne/Minge -----
Any other time I'd look at this kind of core... I'd genuinely think it highly promising. But with context... this core needs better coaching, and more quality squad depth.

So they sign at least two more international team quality CM's, one of those with an ability to create/score goals too. This should be a good defense and mid-field core in the right hands.

Wolfsburg's BIG problem for next season though, being concentrated all around what appears to be an incredibly weak looking attack.

    Bussy/Zicai ---- Hoffmann ---- Huth
...:speechless: Wolfsburg aren't doing anything with this abomination of an attack. Bussy litrally the only credible goal threat I can identify here.

Hoffmann's best ever season producing 11 goals for Leipzig. Zicai looking like she's struggling with a higher level of football now. Huth not going to be able to continue producing productivity forever.

Wolfsburg have to find at least 3 really strong attackers to replace what they had THIS season lol..o_O; and this knowing the current seasons attack have been highly ineffective, or just bad lol.

Cerci not wanting to play for Lerch again. Mühlhaus supposedly moving to Frankfurt. It looks like Wolfsburg's future recruitment will need to find/attract strong senior level foriegn talent; the question here, can they even do this anymore...?
