Not starting for Manchester United Vs Arsenal... the Straus-ball legacy continues to leave it's negative impact on Schüller... wow...:speechless:

Former 1.Bundesliga top scorer, amazing wnt goal record, with her time at Bayern seeing her a significant factor behind some of the clubs most significant results.

And now the post Straus-ball era of Schüller has her dropped from Bayern's first 11, dropped from the wnt's first 11, and currently sat on the bench of WSL Man Utd...o_O

Other new Man Utd forward signing Wangerheim, joins Terland as a front 2 lol. Which means if this continues over the duration of the WSL season, we're going to see a mediocre option like Martinez remain in the wnt ahead of Schüller...o_O

Nüsken is starting for Chelsea Vs Man City...o_O, and she appears to be in a more defensively deciplined role too...:speechless:

I still believe Nüsken a horribly profiled player, who's constantly deployed in roles that never allow her best attributes to shine.

But it will be interesting to see what happens to her within Chelsea, as Bompastor spent a lot of time making it very clear she didn't want to use Nüsken; until she had to use Nüsken lol...

If Cerci doesn't move to Wolfsburg, or stay at Hoffenheim... the wnt coaches could be about to have a scenario none of their player pool forwards will be starting for their clubs...:speechless:

Whoever Bayern signs as a forward is going straight to the Bench, as Harder's inability to play as a CAM on the elite stage will continue to see her deployed as a #9.

Meaning beyond the potential of someone moving to Wolfsburg, the wnt coaches will have to select forwards who play for non UWCL level teams, or select the few established names unable to start for their clubs.

The wnt already ignoring Kössler when she was in the league, unlikely to acknowledge her in the US if she's not showcasing white hot form.

When the season restarts, Cerci will have everything in her favour to force the wnt coahces to finally select her as the wnt's #1 forward.

But this clear lack of depth/form in the strikers, also forces the the wnt coaches to paying close attention to the development of players like Alber, Mühlhaus, Baum, Alara, Bender, Endemann, as it's become very obvious how much the wnt needs to improve offensively.

Batfink's comment on the WSL as an bunch of vultures is interesting because at least that league pays top dollar salaries compare to the Frauen Bundesliga who run it more like an Aldi's store(effiecent but cheap). But from the chart below, the WSL hasn't been able to get nowhere near the amount of German players compared to other Euro countries. I knew the Swedish league was declining for quite a while but surprised that the French have left in pretty high numbers their own league(as there's plenty that left for the NWSL, Spain & Mexico's leagues as well). So the Bundi should be actually thanking for making the other EWuro leagues weaker, lol

Is Schüller injured...? I see Arsenal are playing with 10 women now, and Schüller's not stepped foot on the field...

WTF... Schüller got brought on for garbage time Vs 10 woman Arsenal...o_O

Something very, very, very wrong is happening lol, and I'm not sure what this means to Schüller's career.

She's only 28.... she's meant to be entering her prime, but continues to be treated like she's coming towards the end...

Schüller was allowed to leave Bayern Munich's bench 6 months early for a major transfer fee, so she can go sit on the bench for Manchester United...

This entire situation starting after a 5-8 goals a season Damjanovic was regulalry chosen to start ahead of a should be 15-20 goal a season Schüller.

I thought the idea here was Schüller wanted to regain her wnt place, leaveing Bayern 6 months early to play for a Man Utd side who's uses a 2 forward system; only for us to see Man Utd to follow Bayern's lead by placing her on the bench...:cautious:

Something isn't making sense right now; benched by Bayern for inferior forward options, benched by the wnt for even more inferior forward options, and now benched by her new foreign club...o_O

Is this another Magull situation, where Schüller is going to exciled from elite level football, and retire before she's reached her prime...?

Again... I hope this is just Man Utd managing a still unclear post Euro's injury. But damn... this feels uniquely similar to Magull's situation...

Your able to score goals in the 1.Bundesliga, you go to other leagues and continue to score even more. That's been the constant theme.

No way Martinez can play and score goals in the WSL relegation candidates, but I'm supposed to believe a vastly superior Schüller can't thrive even more for a top 3 Man Utd lol...

I feel like these two players are the examples of the same play anywhere, do everything problem within women's football

I believe a good phrase to describe this problem for players is... "Jack of all trades, master of None".

As I keep thinking, what is Hansen's best position...? As a senior level international, I have ZERO understanding what her best role is. And the same scenario is still in effect with Nüsken's career too.

And even if this is at it's worst within German football, I could do this for many more players across wider women's football.

Leverkusen finding out a better offense can even find a way to offset being a player down for the final 20 mins.

Managing more shots, and shots on target over the 90 mins, Leverkusen's lack of squad depth in the end was saved by 2 moments of individual quality from Fudalla.

Wamser also still a significantly worse as a winger, than she is a FB. I wonder when reality of her skill set will dawn for her, so she can make this FB role her full time commitment to realise her true potential...

I see Kehrer, Piljic, Wamser, Bender, Gonzalez, Ostemeier, Turanyi, being the Leverkusen players who could all play for UWCL level teams, making it difficult to see how the club will keep them all together for another season...:cautious:

But as this latest performance reveals, if they can retain this core and recruit more depth next season, Leverkusen could genuinely begin to look like a prototype Frankfurt from 5 years ago...:coffee:

Köln continue their accent, surving a late penalty which almost saved a surprisingly underwhelming Freiburg from defeat.

And what I really notice about teams like Köln who used to be relentless bottom feeders, is their ability to consistently generate chances now.

Once Freiburg went down to 10, they saw themselves dominanted even more by Köln. This almost impossible to imagine a few years prior.

I think this new found offensive strength in former bottom feeders best demonstrated with Köln being able to bring a multiple times UWCL winning Bremer off the bench...o_O

I still don't know how Bremer would end up playing for Köln when so many strong teams could have benefited from her quality.

But this probably should be more of a reality for various clubs outside the top 6 in future; a future where a new break away league competition can generate more profits, and visibility, to retain and attract more wnt level talent.

Oh... this also instantly stopping clubs like BVB pushing the PR friendly "we're going to work our way through the football pyramid"...:whistling:

Without expensive squads packed with wnt talent, the standard of play unusually good from 1st to last in this league. It could be really impressive to see this league gain 2 or 3 more giant's of German football fully backing female professionalism.

:ROFLMAO:... Sherif makes a great 1v1 save to stop Lein scoring, but minutes later produces a clown show unforced error missed kick, to give Nürnberg an open goal to take the lead.

    0-1 Nürnberg.

Desic makes it 1-1. Sternad finally produces an effective cross, good close range finish from the striker.

Makes me wonder how much more effective Werder's attack would be this season if Mahmoud was healthy.

HT: 1-1 if Mühlhaus learns how to shoot in open play again, she'll be the top scorer in this league for many years.

Already placed #1 or #2 in total shots attempted this season, Mühlhaus wastes wayyyyy to many good chances for club and country.

And what makes this frustrating to see, is having Mühlhaus showcase great shooting and passing technique, but waste so many open chances created through her good movement, and individual dribbling.

If Mühlhaus shooting correctly Vs Nürnberg, her team would be holding a 3-1 lead at HT, instead of the error assisted 1-1.

So it will be interesting to see if can change her focus over the 2nd half of the season towards being a dominant goal scoring AM.

    FT: 1-1

Werder Bremen... no, or should I say Mühlhaus, wasted too many chances to say they deserved a victory.

Nürnberg sat in a low defensive block, finding moments to generate offensive threat of their own through direct counter attacks, they'd stifle their opponents wide threat.

Once Werder Bremen learn to get the ball to their wings quicker, i can see their team being able to provide a more dangerous attacking factor over the 2nd half of the season.

But again... Mühlhaus HAS to do a far better job taking her chances in open play. For a side like Werder Bremen, being a penalties and direct free kick specialist not good enough on it's own.

I know Man Utd aren't an exciting atting sids. But is Schüller's career coming to an end...

Starts for Manchester United, leaves the game after 61' minutes, having only had ONE shot on goal..

This isn't looking good, and it feels like a story I've seen occur with German wnt players far too often...:cautious:

Honestly surprised the vultures didn't get her, as I know they've been circling this particular player for years lol.

So... does this also mean Simon another name set to leave Bayern at the end of the season...?

Kett #1 LB option, Gwinn #1 RB option, Hansen and Simon leaving, KN takes over the competition for the LB role as Bayern continue their plan to recruit another RB.

Plus unless something changes, I don't see Alara being at Bayern beyond her contract too... meaning I wouldn't be shocked to see her transfer if the right offer is made... :cautious:

It appears Bayern set to win another title and enter a summer of major squad upheaval...:whistling:

Going from Bayern to West Ham is crazy... but I also believe this a direct result of Hansen not being able to establish and display her qualities within a clear role.

FB, or is she a CB...? A great utility player for a team like Bayern, she's so desperate for regular football, she taking the opportunity to join the English leagues 2nd from last West Ham...o_O
