Fudalla's goal is genuinely a moment of high quality beyond what I thought possible for her skill-set.... It's a shame she doesn't have more effect on the game beyond sporadic moments that typically showcase elite finishing.
I also notice Brand another wnt starter who's had a poor start to the new season.... Meaning beyond Bühl who's maintained her typical standard, everyone else is basically worse... nobody really showcasing improvements. So far my early season domestic standouts being.... Bühl ----------------- Cerci ------------------- Huth -------- Wrede ------------------ Mühlhaus ------- ----------------------- Minge ------------------------ Eggert --- Kuver ---- Landenberger --- Wamser Bühl apparently at a completely different level than any other wide forward in this league, injury or bad form seeing nobody else challenging Huth as the 2nd best domestic wide forward... Kössler being a forward who posses the ability to create like a winger/CAM, and Mühlhaus in her new more effective role of a more conventional CAM, also both performing at a higher standard than Dallmann and Freigang. Oberdorf not yet playing regularly as a starter, we see MInge moving into a CM role for Wolfsburg, somehow performing at a higher level than Senß, or Gräwe lol. There's also teenagers like Wrede and Eggert who've showcased potential equal or better than current senior wnt members playing in their same positions... What's going on? Is this simply a post Euro's malaise for the more established wnt members..?
Looking at foreign talent, I think the qualities of Chiba, Peddemors, and Keilland, have been wasted by their clubs. With Freiburg's Aurélie Csillag and Bremen's Pápai, the two young forwards who've impressed the most with limited minutes too. Turányi also continues to be the most underrated defender in the league... constantly leaving me shocked to still see her remain a key part of Leverkusen, when it clear she could easily be a valued member for a more elite level team... Before injury Kramer was all set to have a strong season, so we'll see if Leverkusen can maintain a good league position in the time between her return. But right now, until Tanikawa starts to do more, or Harder wakes up, it's fair to identify Stanway and Reuteler as the leagues two best foreign players.

Wolfsburg's team selection looks awful . Injuries must be bad... but that 11 looks like it could throw away match day ones well fought success . It would be on brand for this version of Wolfsburg to waste the PSG win with a defeat or draw vs the team their meant to beat lol.
Didn't see the whole game, but beyond being incredibly lucky to recieve a VAR awarded PK, it should be clear Wolfsburg do no posses the squad depth to miss so many difference makers and be expected to win UWCL games. And I will repeat... Zicai isn't a winger who thrives in teams who can't maintain possession inside an opposition final 3rd... Another game she looked terrible while I was watching her play... Wolfsburg's system/style of play simply doesn't suit her.
The obsession to use Beerensteyn and Popp as a front two is also annoying. Sounding counterintuitive, Beerensteyn for all her speed as a #9 actually slowing down Wolfsburg's offense... Popp as the #9 not only able to retain possession and pass the ball to others making runs beyond her, but also able to win headers from long balls that also provides Wolfsburg are more dynamic offense. With Zicai lacking long distance speed, no Huth, or Endemann, and no Peddamors in an advanced AM role, Wolfsburg losing a huge element of its effectiveness. And from what I saw, this inability to execute progressive passing was made even worse with Küver's absence too; Küver deceptively good and starting attacks from the CB role. Selecting a mid-field of Minge - Kielland - Popp is honestly rude after they'd escape criticism from the opening game... But damn... while Huth, Endemann, Peddamors missing, Lerch might need to try Zicai in a different role to make better use of her skill set.
I see Brand scored her first Lyon goal in a game her team produced 46 shots and 3 goals Vs mighty St Pölten... Brand hasn't got a hope of being a starter for Lyon in big games lol.... There's a level of efficiency she's clearly lacking right now, that will need to improve significantly if she hopes to establish herself with Lyon. And honestly... this should be good for her, as she's spent years getting away with inconsistent and underwhelming performance levels for someone maintaining so much clout...
Zicai would be so much more effective for Bayern or Frankfurt. Wolfsburg needing attributes from players like Alber, Kössler, Purtscheller, or Mahmoud, to be a more effective wide forward within their system... In the past, Bühl and Lohmann would have been identified as realistic options to join Wolfsburg lol. But removed from those days, I think it's on Kellermann to do a better job analyzing the profile of player he recruits for this club. Increased competition for the top talent doesn't mean you can't continue to construct strong teams. Vs Vàlerenga, we witnessed how ineffective recruitment for many years has finally brought to Wolfsburg... From Stroots 3-5-2, to Lerch not really having the tools for a 4-2-3-1. Wolfsburg needs to decide who they are, and get back to recruiting the quality of players with profiles to better fit their intentions. (Which should include no more bad deals with Barcelona..)
Nüsken is playing as RB for Chelsea..., Alber once again completely absent from the match day squad. Anybody feel like Alber wasn't wanted by Bompastor.... 4 year contact too lol... what a waste.
the goal wasn’t anything special(as Yohannes stole the show with hers) but Brand did end up as FOTMOB’s pog with an high 9.0 rating. but after watching the highlights, I feel Brand still being more of an pole bearer than an sort of ‘take charge’ type of gal’—-which German’s so desperately need & only got Buhl & Minge currently in that role. Jule was constantly feeding & setting up Hegerberg who must of taken a. Incredible amount of shots to get one goal. Heg might have been a selfish sob, but then again that might be the only way to score as Yohannes stunning individual goal proved.that as well zero German’s made the annual Golden Girl top ten list—-might be a bit concerning too

Live score shows 1-1 at halftime. Juv’s Golden Girl nominee, scored their goal. Bayern needs to counter with their orb Golden Girl nominee—-hold on, they don’t got one!!!
Bayern need to change their tactical approach in Europe... 3 years of Straus-ball has them stuck repeating all the same tactical errors but now with a new coach... Bühl also has to learn how to shoot towards the far post. This something so basic, it's truly shocking to see her unable to grasp how one dimensional this particular flaw makes her playing down the left. Your not going to win games with such an inefficient attack. But their new coach also can't persist with this halfway between Straus-ball and whatever he's trying to introduce. Lots of meaningless possession again, seeing Juve have more shots on target over the 90mins... Even if the new coach limited tactically... it would be nice just to see him start Schüller centrally, and place Harder wide right. Two strong 1v1 forwards either side of Schüller stretching defenders, should allow Tanikawa or Alara the extra space to actually operate as CAM's. And honestly... it would be nice to see a Bayern game again that isn't genuinely underwhelming, or frustratingly boring.
