Just saw Bremen beat Frankfurt 1-0. Oh well, knew it was to good to be true for someone challenging Bayern/WOB dominance of the league for too long, Tim to bring back that mid school teacher that HOF had coaching 2019-20, lol

My English commentator was confused on the red card, was there something more to Mickenhagen did?—-I mean she got a clean tackle of the ball, could, might of made enough aggressive contact with her body, but Gwinn could of been doing her best Popp imitation too as she stumbled to the ground. Meantime Harder didn’t get an card for smashing her foot into the GK’s hand
Watching highlights of it, WOB went on to another uninspiring win, this time 2-0 over Essen who seemed to be very competitive in the 1st half but probably their legs went out by the 2nd half(they obviously don’t got the bench too match up with) The one thing that WOB did right was start Bereynsteen at #9. I’m not a big fan of hers—consider her a very selfish, but that’s what you need from your lead striker—-meantime Popp hasn’t scored in her last five games even though she started promi in most of them hsvnt seen the highlights of others, but my fav as ‘goal of the week’ was Weidauer’s against Frankfurt. It’s not just the quality, but the way it was set up—with Mahmoud pick pocket thr ball from her deep right side, making the long, 90 degrees vertical pass to the far left, which caught the Frankfurters by surprise with leaving the lone Kleineheme to defend against all the space Weidauer had to work with. Shades of the way we play it here in the US—-keep it up Bundesliga!
hey Lohmann, I had to click ten extra times on FOTMOB's Bundy power rankings to find Sydney at #103----remember, this isn't per week but 7 overall league games FotMob rating - Frauen-Bundesliga 2024/2025 stats not an single member on the current senior NT squad made this week's all-star list, but I did previous mention I would of pick Vorbian & Muller for an possible call up Frauen-Bundesliga matches, tables and news 2024/2025
Headed into this early season international break, without speaking about individual teams (I'm still waiting a little longer before I do this...) I find it interesting to see the leagues top 6 strikers in the category of producing the most shots on goal being... 1. Beerensteyn - Wolfsburg (28) 2. Freigang - Frankfurt (25) 3. Kössler - Hoffenheim (24) 4. Popp - Wolfsburg (23) 5. Mühlhaus - Werder Bremen (21) 6. Schimmer - RB Leipzig (19) Me highlighting Kössler here, as she's not in the senior wnt right now, but without taking her chances still producing offensive data to suggest she's operating as one of the leagues best attackers; and significantly better than new senior wnt forward Giovanna Hoffmann too... Not on this list, but retaining her impressive qualities in general offensive efficiency, it never not going to be amusing looking at Fudalla's data and noticing how little she contributes outside of key passes, and goals lol. But everything I'm seeing on early season data related to the leagues forwards, is saying with limited opportunities, Anyomi might be Germany's best/inform forward right now. With me also understanding this unlikely to translate into the wnt coaches actually using her as a lone forward/#9 during the next two friendlies lol...
Looking at data related to mid-fielders, while we've seen Stanway's effectiveness remain relatively the same within a slightly deeper role, alongside Dunst who's remained one of the leagues most effective AM's, the early season has seen the continued growth of Gräwe as one of the leagues most dominant deep lying defensive/play making figures. Gräwe 3rd place for successful tackles won, and 6th place for tackles made, it's notable this season that lists featuring Stanway (again) as the best CM in the league for progressive passes made, and passes into the final third, this time the early season has Gräwe and Senß both placed as the two best domestic CM's. Senß at one time finding herself topping stat lines ahead of Oberdorf and Nüsken as the leagues best DM, we now have a potential scenario where Gräwe showcasing increasing signs of being even better than Senß in the DM role, showcasing passing attributes even Oberdorf will rarely display too... Lattwein, Minge, both struggling early season, it's going to be very interesting to see how the rest of the league's CM's develop, knowing youngsters like Diehm, Piljic, are two more DM/CM's who could eventually add themselves to the wnt roster.
LOL.. annoyingly Huth continues to be the leagues most relevant offensive player when it comes to shot creating actions over the first few games of the season. (because she's a weak CAM who needs to be wide to generate anything creative..), However... to my surprise we have Freiburg's young CAM Vobain placed #2 in shot creating actions, while she's also top 4 in goal creating actions, to basically place among the best AM's in the league so far this season... Will this form last, who knows..., but Vobain playing as a CAM, and sometimes a wide forward for Freiburg, it's genuinely surprising to see her above or right next to names many would view as the leagues best AM's. Kögel, Corley, Fudalla, Kowalski, Vobian, all part of the u23's, all part of a new wave of German CAM's. Neither Magull or Dabritz playing in this league anymore, it's been a pleasant surprise to see so many domestic AM's still so prevalent at a time the top clubs, and the senior wnt, all seem increasingly less open to using dedicated CAM's anymore.
@Lohmann your previous post; Brand at #201? Nice try! but more like at #81—she actually didn’t play this last weekend—-obviously got an break since Wück needs our lil terrorist to terrorize em limey defense
