WOB need to particularly sub Beerensteyn & Huth out of the game, they’ve been simply atrociously bad Frankfurt will need to conserve energy for the onslaught of all the big subs that WOB’s going to come in. They best take Kleineheme out as she’s already gotten an yellow & can be nearing red as she’s been an foul machine
Hey, what's that? Wolfsburg are supposed to smoothly win in the domestic league, so they can lose to Roma later in WCL!
3-0 Everybody but Brand having a bad game for WOB, where’s the subs? abd what I tell you; KLeinehene taken off
Frankfurt - Wolfsburg 3:0(1:0) Doorsoun(45+1), Anyomi(46, 59) 2.Bundesliga Hamburger SV - Bochum 0:1 Ingolstadt - Andernach 1:1 Gütersloh - Frankfurt II 1:2 Union - Bayern II 3:0 Freiburg II - Weinberg 2:0 Meppen - Sand 2:0 Nürnberg - Mönchengladbach 2:1 1.Union Berlin 11 2.Nürnberg 10 3.Weinberg 9 4.Bochum 9
yeah, I know she’s an icon in Germany, but to me she comes across as too much drama queen, that’s why I call her be Toni Storm of woso(Toni’s an AEW wrestler who’s gimmick is she thinks she an Hollywoood Golden age starlet). This game she goes down three times looking like she could be seriously injured, confused me as we ll as the commentator why she’s not taken out, instead stays in, had no speed whatsoever on the important counters-so badly needed in an game like this where Frankfurt got its fair share amount of mid to upfield possession. WOB’s whole offense seems to depend on getting the ball to its #9, If Popp can’t deliver, she drags down the whole team as well JUV is probably more the type of squad that could beat Wolfsburg—-unless Roma got speed burners like JUV’s Bonesera, Cantore. Vansgaard. If I remembered, Roma’s strength lay more at midfield with the likes Guigliano & Kumagai, but at mid is where WOB throws its weight around & usually gains the upper hand. Where WOB’s most suspectable is in the back. It’s not just that CB’s Hegering & Hendrich are way past their prime, it’s that they’re often left to fend off attacks by their lonesome self’s. Yesterday Anyomi & Freigsng were monsters out there(yet these two got barely playing time at the Olympics). So I would fancy Roma’s chances if they would be an DIRECT, fast countering and/or high pressuring team instead of an slow build up type style(then the advantage would definitely go to WOB)
In all of these years, you never learnt to spell Barbara Bonansea. You could be surprised by some Roma's players with a very direct approach to the offensive play. We'll see.
Jena - Essen 0:2(0:0) Platner(56), Kowalski(85p) 1.Bayern 12 17-3 2.Frankfurt 10 13-2 3.Leipzig 9 9-7 4.Leverkusen 7 6-3 4.Freiburg 7 6-3 6.Wolfsburg 7 9-7 7.Essen 4 5-6 8.Bremen 4 5-9 9.Hoffenheim 3 6-11 10.Jena 1 1-6 11.Köln 1 4-11 12.Potsdam 0 0-13 Freiburg - Leverkusen 2:3 not included in ranking
playing DIRECT is not always as easy as it seems; you really need the personnel to make it work. I don’t see Roma having that. Going with the current Italian league; Roma so far it’s got an 2 win, 2 draws record while only scoring 9 goals in 4 games without even meeting yet arguably it’s toughest opposition(JUV, Inter, FIO). Only two of its 8 forwards in its roster have been able to score(Viens with 3, Giacinti with 1) Capable as she is, Viens is not even a regular starter on the Canada NT(the squad’s main problem is actually scoring, lol). Gicacinti’s one goal is weak for an starting #9 Last season Roma ended up last place in CL groups. I don’t think they’ve added much to their roster. Hanshaw is a more of an slowish, technical/deliberate type player when moving forward as an FB, but simply atrocious when defending(the Wilms of Roma, lol)—yet she started all 4,league games in my book, Lyon looks unbeatable(especially after getting Chawinga). Wolfsburg might have behind the scenes, internal problems that might effect their players performances, but that would be the only window of opportunity that Roma’s got to beat them
what's arguably the smallest player, Kristin Kogel, is also the best player in the league!--according to FOTMOB's power ratings after 4 games FotMob - Football Live Scores it's an remarkable feat when you consider she doesn't play for the two dominant teams(BM/WOB) nor has the backup/team mates of those two way more heralded squads here's a list of all the individual categories, just extra click if you want to pursue further each category Frauen-Bundesliga 2024/2025 stats I previously noted that Selina Vorbian(FREI) could be(so far) the best newcomer or most improved player in the league. She comes in at #1 at Big Chances Created/#2 Chamces Created categories. #17 overall I was also impresed with Gerhardt of Koln. She came in at #2 in interceptions Meantime Jule Brand wins the Successfull Dribble per 90 min, and she practically doubles her score on her next closest rival in that category some might not dig FOTMOB but it's done an fairly good job in rating players in other leagues, for instance Trinity Rodman picked as #1 in the NWSL/Lauren James #1 in the WSL
guess your forgettin that BM is an world class professional team with three top 20 Balon D’Or nominees(Gwinn, Schuller, Viggo) while featuring others that could of been nominated as well(Harder, Buhl, Stanway)—all THIS vs mostly part timers that might hold down an 2nd job just to make ends meet. So usually the BM starters wear out majority of their undermanned, undertrained, under conditioned opponents—and yeah, around 75th minute, that’s when Lohmann finally comes in to have her spotlight against squads that look like their dead on their feet by this time of the game
