If Kayikci available, it would have been a far better contest between the two mid-fields toady. But you know there's not much Freiburg could have done, when their missing such a key player, but trying to compete against a mid-field where Oberdorf will dominate games, but do so while she casually strolls through games only producing 7 out of 10 performances... The gap in quality between the 2 of Oberdorf, Lattwein, Vs the trio of Felde, Minge, Schasching, was pretty significant at times lol. So we'll see what happens when Freiburg faces their next top 5 opponent (Frankfurt), as I'm still waiting to see Minge showcase some signs of legitimacy while facing elite/international level opponents...
Despite the loss, a word must be said on the performance from our German 'keeper 🇩🇪Multiple saves made this afternoon during #LEIMCI 👏 pic.twitter.com/IYwc5Li1Oj— LCFC Women (@LCFC_Women) February 4, 2023 Janina Leitzig reminded Bayern Munich today that they don't have to worry about this goalkeeper. pic.twitter.com/TAQ6Pobns1— DW Sports (@dw_sports) February 4, 2023 Like I thought... a GK who will make really impressive saves, but last season clearly lacked the high level concentration necessary to eradicate unforced errors from her game. When this loan period finished, very similar to Beger, I'm sure Leitzig will probably remain in the WSL, being wanted by far better teams than Leicester City...

Yeah the pitch was frozen and overall in a horrible state, I don't understand why the DFB didn't have someone check it yesterday or this morning instead of having everyone show up for nothing. No word yet on when the game will be played.
Bremen with their first win this season and suddenly half of the Bundesliga fights against relegation. Hoffenheim - Duisburg 7:0(2:0) Feldkamp(15,30), Hickelsberger-Füller(18,88), Bila(45,47), Kössler(72) Leverkusen - Bremen 0:2(0:2) Sternad(10), Lührßen(41) Meppen - Frankfurt 0:1(0:1) Prasnikar(39) Die @EintrachtFrauen sichern sich mit dem 1️⃣:0️⃣ in Meppen vorerst Rang 2️⃣, während die @werderfrauen gegen Bayer beim 2️⃣:0️⃣ wichtiger Zähler im Abstiegskampf holt. Hier gibt es die Ergebnisse und die Tabelle 👇 #DieLiga | 📸 imago pic.twitter.com/bkAgR8HX9h— DFB-Frauen (@DFB_Frauen) February 5, 2023 Next Saturday: Bayern vs Frankfurt 2.Bundesliga Ingolstadt - Köln II 2:4 Potsdam II - Wolfsburg II 0:1 Andernach - Sand 2:0 Nürnberg - Bayern II 2:1 Freiburg II - Frankfurt II 1:2
actually, yeah... Essen thought they'd finally gained a small amount of breathing room from constantly thinking about relegation; but then Bremen randomly learn how to attack during the winter break lol, giving us a league only 6 points exists between 6th and 11th place.
Seeing Hoffenheim look more like their old selves again, provides hope they can genuinely push to close the 6 point gap on Frankfurt... In my opinion, Hoffenheim the 3rd Bundesliga team deploying a style of football more conducive for finding success in the UWCL. Hickelsberger the star of the show Vs Duisburg, and even if it was against one of the leagues bottom dwellers, it still appeared like a few Hoffenhiem's goals were produced in a dynamic style we simply don't ever see coming from Frankfurt...
Also suddenly if Werder beat Turbine Postdam next weekend, Turbine will be more or less mathematically relegated.
thanks for the link(as I was worried that Magenta TV hired the Wagner group to get rid of the one Ukrainian youtuber, lol) but why your acting so impressed? Let’s give the aprox stats once again( it’s 20+ current or former NT’s vs zero it’s 20+ with over 1000 national team caps vs aprox)zero it’s 20+ full time professional players vs part timers who hold day jobs so let’s see how my faves of Wolfsburg did; Jule Brand got an whole 18 minutes(as I figured Stroot prefers Jonsdottir)/Wassmuth got 34 minutes(is she now only the 3rd tier striker next to Pajor/Popp?,lol). Once promising Bremer, Wedemeyer, Wolter, Demann, Starke got zero playing time(I mean they all could of been on the playing field for other teams making the league more exciting to watch) Oh, but maybe once WOB plays Potsdam or Düsseldorf, their playing time might improve, lol as for Minge; how many times got to tell ya, she needs to quit her day job(as police officer) if she even had thoughts of making the NT. And I noticed Freiburg now hired another hotshot(sarcastic here) Austrian to be their striker. Knowing what ‘nice guys’ Germans are, you’ll make her the new ‘go to’ goal scorer(sounds familiar? lol)
Impressions; would like to say it’s the beginning of a beautiful friendship for Jens, but the boxscore got Rolser as the coach. She’s was an excellent winger in her playing days, so could be the reason why the wing play was so good in HOF’s match(so why didn’t they make her head coach?) with Bayer Leverkusen; so the 11 month injured Wieder is NOT back as well? and where’s Grawe, Nicolic Klink? Seems like this team is missing way too many of it’s players and what happened to Bundi 2 leaders Leipzig(who honestly look better than the bottom six Bundi 1 squads these days)
so ok, Leitzig is doing great to near last place Leicester, but the question is why couldn’t she been loaned to one of the Bundesliga’s bottom feeders instead? and same difference; since Brand & Wassmuth got little playing time in what has to be considered an important WOB match(opening spring match vs #4) why can’t they been loaned out as well? Does a uber stacked WOB really need them?(they showed they didn’t need Oberdorf when they beat St Polten 8-2)
Is it possible that you confuse Jens Scheuer with Stephan Lerch and Nadine Rolser with her sister Nicole?
didn’t know about the sister duo & yeah, thought it was Jens Lerch. So any news on the now 11 month ACL recovery of Wieder?
Who's acting like they're impressed... These aren't stats... these are just more examples of you desperately trying to maintain your weirdo rational for disregarding anything Wolfsburg do... Freiburg over the years having pushed various top clubs to the brink of losing points, did accomplish notable victories over Wolfsburg with even more of a talent/experience deficiency than you claim they have right now. And this seen with Minge factually sitting one goal away from a forward like an on fire Pajor, with Kayikci and Felde among the leagues best midfielders too; as this team currently outscoring Frankfurt this season, and find themselves only a goal less than Bayern too lol. So please... stop detracting this league with needless hyperbole, when anyone paying attention knows this seasons Freiburg anything but hopeless amateurs Vs Wolfsburg.
It's obvious Popp shouldn't be playing wide left, and continues to look very mediocre in every task associated with the games modern wide forwards. But I'm still in the belief Huth, and Roord, will take back their normal roles when Wolfsburg faces tougher opposition. Meaning.... Waßmuth, SJJ, and Brand, likely to all be on the bench should Stroot persist with forcing Popp and Pajor into the same team...
LOL... calling a multiple UWCL winning Bremer a promising player is.... And your in complete denial to believe Wedmeyer, Demann, Starke, Wolter, somehow considered star level talents who'd make opponents significantly stronger, and therefore the league stronger, or as you'd put it "more exiting" lol. See... Demann was recently part of Köln's first 11 last season, helping them finish a mighty 8th all thank to being aided by the prestigious talent of Wolfsburg's current squad player..., And I'd even argue Freiburg have a stronger team now, than the Freiburg team which featured Starke spearheading their attack lol. And that's why strong teams build strong SQUADS... Keeping your best players in prime condition to be able to take part in the seasons biggest matches, right now more important than it's ever been for European women's football, as seasons become bloated with even more opportunities to lose key players through ACL tears, muscle strains, and fatigue.
As someone who's followed the wnt for a long time, and seen the way many talented female players have typically progressed through the pyramid of the domestic league, I think the emergence of Minge is honestly no different to any other young player finally displaying their early potential on the senior stage. Be it commitments to school, remaining in college, or training for a career outside of football, MANY female players in their early 20's can still rise through junior ranks, and emerge in their mid 20's as credible talents within the elite levels of the game. Right now a perfect example of this being a 24yo Hagel. Who unlike a lot of her current wnt peers would have very little contact with the junior national teams, and instead follow a path of having to grind her way through lower league football, and then Hoffenhiem's 2nd team, before establishing herself as a legit stand out within the nations top division. Minge being a former captain of u17, u19/20 wnt's, never had to follow this path, but still require a slower development period than many of her peers like Lohmann, Gwinn, Bühl, Wieder, Oberdorf, who'd all emerge in their teens as elite prospects able to excel in the league, or the senior international stage.
No... this doesn't sound familiar lol, as the new girl in question appears to be a CM, not a forward... And with Minge being Freiburg's top scorer, yeah... Austrian, Scottish, or Bolivian, they might be a club in need of a new goal scoring forward if their going to try and make a legitimate push for 3rd place one day...
Or... Hoffenheim now have Specht in a CB position again, with Hagel back to her AM role, allowing their current team to be only 2 players different (no Brand, or Wienroither) from replicating the EXACT same 11 as the team witnessed during their UWCL season... Better than the entire bottom 6... Meppen were just promoted this season, competed really well so far, but only scored a total 8 goals, having just also producing another solid performance in a close defeat Vs a Frankfurt side RB Leipzig beat in the cup. So I think you might need to calm down about the prospect's of Leipzig next season, as there's clearly a major difference in promoted teams performing every week in the top division, versus a one off encounter during cup competitions...
Because these so called "bottom feeders" also have junior wnt GK's and established long term #1 GK's of their own... I'm sure Leicester City losing their main #1 GK through injury, forced them to search for a solid short term replacement option, making the move for Leitzig a surprising opportunity for both player, and the clubs involved. Yeah, why do good teams need to recruit good players. Bayern should just let Lohmann, Kumagai, Glas, Magull, Rall, KLV, Damnjanovic, Benkarth, all go on loan to mid table clubs, because their not regular starters for this current coach... genius idea hotajm2...
@hotjam2 Should we be happy now... Hanna Glas will sign with KC Current on a three-year deal from Bayern Munich, per @amandaezaza ✍🏼🇸🇪 pic.twitter.com/XQwwcwofw2— Women’s Transfer News (@womenstransfer) February 6, 2023
