It doesn't seem to matter if Wolfsburg have lost Harder, Gunnarsdottir and have Pajor and Rolfö injured. They still score a hatful of goals in every game, spreading them out a bit differently.

We will see if it really doesn`t matter when Wolfsburg play in Munich next week.

Interesting article from Jasmina Schweimler on the state of Frauen-Bundesliga, a possible change in power at the top of the league and lack of media coverage.

But WOB still got 12 former & current German NT's as well as 11 internationals to offset wahtever injuries or transfer losses that occured vs(minus Bayern Munich) a continuously weakend Bundesliga; for instance Turbine Potsdam that is still currently in 3rd place despite having just one NT, JoJo Elsig(who MVT hasnt been picking anyways recently) on it's entire roster & most it;s player in the 18-22 year old range

In their upcoming game, Bayern Munich might have the stronger roster, but WOBs more rapid style should win out as BM tends to play the more slower/more compact, short passing game. But WOB can be often vulnerable in the back as long as they insist on having Goessling & Jansen as CB's(both don't inspire confidence on defense)

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lohmann; noticing a player I was hyping last season, Sanders, is back on Freiburg's squad, but now Gabby Hoffmann is missing! Do you know of any injury report on her?

this was a big game for 3rd place & CL spot for next year. Frankfurt should of had everything going on their side.........4 Austrian NT's(including 3 that started vs France a few weeks back), 2 Swiss NT's(though one was injured for this game) 3 German NTs including current #1 GK, Frohms, Plenty of decent subs like Prazinker, Martinez, Panfil plus the #1 scorer in the league, Freigang. So definitely expecting more from them.
Meantime Potsdam looks like a team led by mother hen JoJO Elsig with her lil chikies of youth, inexperienced players following behind. As much as I like Elsig, league needs a stronger squad ro send to the CL; their 0-4 & 0-5 losses to die zwei Gol-iath's proved that they can't compete with the super teams being assembled around the globe.

keep reading that tomorrow's biggie between Wolfsburg & Bayern will be 'free' to watch, so hopefully we'll get a link before game time

    no Dallmann starting, booo!

    no Wedermeyer starting, booo!

now who am I going to cheer for?

guess Wolfsburg since it's 6 vs 5 German starters

btw......surprised that Lechus@ is not more of a Bundi fan as Bremen's Tarcy....uh, I-give-up, has become one of the league's leading scorers

I know you have issues about Hegering, hotjam, but ever since she's returned to professional football, she's been the best CB Germany's had by far. Sure she does mistakes, but here you have a CB who can pass the ball fast and accurately, take the ball with her comfortably up to the midfield, scores a lot of goals with headers, etc.

Hegering definitely screwed up both goals vs Sweden at 2019 WC quarter finals loss. Forgiveable offence? That would be the only question, but you can see that game cause a bit of lost interest in woso from German fans, which included our beloved.............Batfink!

but yeah, Germany is missing an world class CB, Elsig to slow to get in get back if she gets caught higher on the pitch/Doorsoun very workman like, but average in just about everything else, so maybe Hegering is currently the best

their missing several player due to injury, but BM's compact style will not win vs Lyon or the English league giants

WOB's got Stavik as their lone striker, but she's not an goal scorer & can't seem to read the passes headed her way. With her speed, guess she there to disrupt the BM defenders

Heads up to Ilstead who's quitely become the league's best FB & of course Buhl, actually set up both goals

I seem to reckon it was only the first goal where she looked particularly bad against Sweden

Wolfsburg’s only missing Popp and Pajor and they didn’t look that good when they played either
