Of course, 2020 is still a long ways away and we probably won't hear serious player rumors until next summer, but I figured we can start early discussing this. What style of play do we expect our squad to implement? Who should be our first coach? What type of players do we want to see on the Inaugural squad? What realistic targets are there out there? While I'm sure he won't be here for the Inaugural season, I thought we should bless this thread with a fantastic inaugural rumor: When Beckham calls, you reply! 📱Antoine Griezmann eyes retirement in the US with @MLS team @InterMiamiCF 👀🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/QldDNUXXWQ— OneFootball HQ (@OneFootballHQ) September 8, 2018 Griezmann wants to come! He has said this in the past, but he reiterated it again after the release of the badge!
Maybe a combination the young south american and us kids, and good elite starts than coming to the league...off course i think so miami go to play a possessive game and try to score a lots of goal..
Targets (2020-21): Luis Suares, Cristiano Ronaldo, Marchisio, Modric, Pique, Marcelo, Iker Casillas (only very cheap contract), Di Maria, Thiago Silva, Pepe, Neur, Lewatoski, Benzema, etc...
What about the coach? Imagined than Zidane when take a relax time in Miami, and start the path for the new team of his friend Beckham? Ancelotti, maybe want something new after the time in Naples... Or other friends, like Steve Gerrard, o Frank Lampard?
more important than players at this time is setting up your system. You need scouts in all warm weather areas - SA, Africa, and the Islands. You need an academy; as well as 2nd division and a NPSL team to stockpile players for next year. Miami area have several lower division teams. So instead of trying to reinvent the wheel; simply partner with a couple of them.

Beckham meets Luis Suarez, as speculation of Inter Miami CF move heats up #MLS https://t.co/a55PErUag6— Miami-MLS (@Miami_MLS) October 5, 2018 We're getting linked to everybody these days. Suarez would seem to be a decent possibility
there is a ton of local talent that should be good enough for MLS in Miami too. Hopefully they setup a decent youth structure to promote players from within. As for signings, idk. Im hoping they follow what Atlanta did and sign lots of South Americans from the South American leagues, much cheaper and higher potential for long term growth.
I agree, however there is way more talent that can do way more damage than Euro based talent ala Falcao in France. Look at Cardona (Boca Juniors), you also have Quintero (River Plate), there is a lot of potential in creating an ATL United II, plus the Miami talent that we have laying around. We are going to see alot of Local talent coming out of MLS and spewing into the league and the world because of Inter Miami. Its going to be fun!! Maybe for a DP, i'd get one top talent that is playing in Europe, the rest can come from the Americas.

Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami announced today Kurt Schmid as the team’s first Technical Director. The 10-year MLS veteran joins Inter Miami after a decorated career with the LA Galaxy and the Seattle Sounders. In his role with Inter Miami, Kurt will work directly with Sporting Director Paul McDonough on all soccer-related aspects of the first team and the academy, with a particular focus on leading scouting efforts to identify local and international talent for the club. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019...ol-miami-hires-kurt-schmid-technical-director
Who is Lewatowski? Anyway I think it would be cool if an ex-Fusion player was on the team, Nick Rimando and/or Kyle Beckerman are the only ones still playing as far as I know. Would love to see one of them on the team.

I asked @InterMiamiCF Paul McDonough why they didn’t go after FIU for a temp stadium. He cited the turf was an issue and that players like Griezmann don’t want to play on turf. Using Griezmann as an example tells you the type of player they are going after.— Pieter Brown (@Pieter_Brown) March 20, 2019
What about Joao Plata at RSL? Probably qualify as a Green card by now and a tremendous talent on the wing.
Griezmann and Ozil would be great but would they draw big crowds like I think Falcao or Ronaldo would? Maybe it doesn't matter as long as they win and they have a few big names.
