this new background is really hard on the eyes.. the previous black background was alright.
Black background and white text would be easier to read.

 

I agree with sinner78 on the new background.

The background should be a solid color. No designs.

 

Don't like today's light-gray background nearly as much as yesterday's dark-gray one.

I do not have the "No Notifications" option when I watch a forum. Here are my options:




I would prefer a "No Notifications" option, but it is not a big deal.

 

Please tell me you are still going to bring back something like MyBigSoccer, where everything is on one page.

 

Re #13, I think this means that when you are in the Arsenal forum, if you click Search then the Arsenal forum will by default be selected, assuming that's where you want to search within. The little I tried the new search, when I did I don't think this was happening. Hope I've got this right.

Re #28, does "NO ETA" mean you've looked at it a little and it might not be possible or you just haven't been able to give it any time yet?

THANKS for taking the time to answer that long list! Even if it's not exactly music to everyone's ears at least it gives them a way to set their expectations a bit.

 

I am pretty sure you never stated this until now. And it makes perfect sense. But I think you might ease the continuing transition by periodically updated BS users on the status of your modifications and updates. I've gotten a couple of PMs conversations from users who remain frustrated, and you'd be amazed at the number of people who don't even think to come here to this forum to see what's happening update wise.

I'm amazed at the number of users who want most recent post first, but that, the quicknav and the MybigSoccer functionality seem to be the biggest issues. I'd continue making system-wide announcements until you and the staff feel you have made all the initial adjustments you're going to make.

Correct.

 

How many lines?

 

I don't know if it has been pointed out, but when you cut and paste you now capture the font, color and size from the item (like a headline for a link) you were copying instead of the default BS posting font etc.

What is the default? When you highlight text in the editor, or are typing in the box at the bottom of the page it doesn't tell you what font/size you are using.

I think the green button is fine for showing on-line status. However, if you want to use the words online and offline, the vertical online is visually distracting. I know you're probably just testing it out, but first viewing is offputting.
