Talk about an underated album. I brought this one back out a few weeks back and its in extremely heavy rotation the past few weeks. This album truly is one of the better albums of the 90's. It's a damn shame that its teh songs now just are remembered as the soundtrack to a chevy (?) commercial. Is anyone with me here?
Probably sodajerk, which is the one on the car commercials now. I'm allowed also got some airplay, and late at night was used in a "my so called life" episode i been told.
A consistently good band. A really earnest bnand from Boston, sound a bit like Fountains of Wayne. All of which is probably dating me. Don't own the album. Remember most of their singles. Taillights Fade was a really good song.
"Biggest Single" and "Buffalo Tom" are two ideas that don't neccesarily go together. Love this record though, a good friend of mine named his band "Red Letter Day" because of it.
Buffalo Tom I think "Big Red Letter Day" is an extremely good album, but "Let Me Come Over" is their best. I just hope the rumors that "Smitten" is their last studio album are false.
I own 4 Buffalo Tom albums. Sleepy Eyed is far and away their best album IMO. Big Red Letter day album is alright. I like "Torch Singer" the best from that album. I have seen the Chevy commercial with the Sodajerk song and my friend asked who does that song. Cool. Another popular song they have is "Larry" from Let Me Come Over album. On Sleepy Eyed, the songs are all good, one of favorite albums of all-time. "When You Discover" is my fav from that album. I saw Buffalo Tom in concert at the 9:30 club, Washington, DC. They are one of those underated bands that does not get much pub. SSS
