The latest is Benfica’s Florentino Luis, with GOAL‘s Neil Jones stating that Liverpool, in addition to Arsenal, are “among those to have made checks” with their scouts in the region. Everton are now said to be willing to sell centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite if they are relegated this season, following transfer interest from Liverpool.
Watched the Dortmund Chelsea match last night. No way is Fernandez and Mudryk worth that much money. And the less I hear of £130 million for Bellingham the better— he’s. Decent footballer much in the mould of his former teammate Sancho but way over-hyped. The chavs in particular have absolutely skewed market so we really need to be extra-prudent in our rebuild.
Manager Klopp has told Raphinha's camp that he is not interested and has told his scouting department he wants no updates on the player after he rejected Liverpool and moved to Barcelona last summer. Real Madrid are set to complete the free transfer of Roberto Firmino as management feels less confident in resigning Karim Benzema to a new contract. British agent Haydn Dodge on Mason Mount: “I know Liverpool quite like him and I personally believe he’d be perfect for Jurgen Klopp and his system." ‘Manchester United are preparing a £107m offer for Victor Osimhen. It would be the most expensive signing in Premier League history, tied with Enzo Fernández at Chelsea. However, there is also Liverpool on the Nigerian.’ Liverpool are in talks to sign 15-year-old Ecuadorian talent Kendry Paez. Liverpool and Arsenal are among the sides to have 'made checks' on Benfica midfielder Florentino Luís, according to Goal, with the 23-year-old defensive midfielder a very impressive talent. Klopp’s side has ‘spoken’ to people within the entourage of Milinković-Savić given the player has only 18 months left on his contract. Liverpool are linked with Ajax's 25-year-old Mexican midfielder Edson Álvarez.

Liverpool's short-list of potential new partners, and long-term replacement, for Van Dijk includes Joško Gvardiol, Evan N'Dicka, António Silva, Jarrad Branthwaite, Strahinja Pavlović, and Gonçalo Inácio. Liverpool are preparing a summer move for 21-year-old Márton Dárdai from Hertha Berlin. The left-footed centerback is seen as an ideal long-term player for the Reds.
Between player agents and so-called journos, there's a lot of useless info being fed to the public, isn't there? And I'm not counting Fox news.
In continental Western Europe this can generally be seen: 1– Goalkeeper 2– Right Back 3– Left Back 4– Centre Back 5– Centre Back (or Sweeper, if used) 6– Central Defensive/Holding Midfielder 7– Right Attacking Midfielders/Wingers 8– Central/Box-to-Box Midfielder 9– Striker 10– Attacking Midfielder/Playmaker 11– Left Attacking Midfielders/Wingers
reason I asked is: - I grew up when shirt numbers ran 1-11, all teams, everywhere, and the number told you where they played / role they had. this applied to all teams. - that started to change when subs were introduced, obviously. - then as formations evolved, shirt numbers started to be meaningless. first I can recall is Tommy Smith who carried the 10 shirt but was a defender. no way was he ever in what's now described as the "10" role. - shirt numbers now mean absolutely nothing. Trent's 66 a great example. anyhow so much for ancient history over the past few years - 5? 10? - there has been a growing trend to say "he's a 6" "he's a 10" and so on. it's great shorthand and I get the benefit (but I think it's now at the point where ppl online can kill billions of pixels arguing over a player is more of an 8 than a 6 when in reality it doesn't really matter does it as long as the team works well with him, and it pigeonholes a lot of players imo) when this started to become common, it took me a while to figure out what the numerology was alluding to. so, after all that ramble. believe it or not --- I've never seen a player described as a "7" before. feel free to return to your normal activities.
Well, as a outside wing on my HS team, I never knew the position numbering...all I had to worry abut was whether we were playing an 'M' or "W" formation with the 5 man front line.
