Galaxys Buddle, Keat out up to six weeks after knee surgeries By Nick Green on June 5, 2012 2:47 PM | Permalink | Comments (0) | ShareThis Galaxy striker Edson Buddle, who fans might suggest has missed much of the season so far anyway given his performances, will miss the next three to six weeks after right knee surgery, the club announced today. Buddle's operation occurred Monday; midfielder-defender Dan Keat underwent the exact same procedure last Thursday on his right knee, too. Sorry for the bad news! **sigh** These are the times that try men's souls. Or, less literate, Momma said there'ld be days like this
Oh no. So we'll be seeing more of Barrett then. And perhaps Cristman. I just hope Keat and Buddle don't have the same surgeon. If Bruce gets too familiar with the guy, he might end up playing in the center of our defence.
More info from the article: "In other knee-related, Galaxy defender-related news, an MRI on the right knee of Brazilian center back Leonardo Monday revealed no structural damage in his right knee." Steve
Or perhaps McBean? He had a nice assist in the reserve match. We are dropping like flies. Plenty of time for Buddle to be ready for CCL though.
Wonder if this explains Edson's poor play this season. He has not been himself at all. His normally excellent first touch has been non-existent, but scarily still better than Chad's or Adam's.
Any of you guys think we'll be seeing Jose Villarreal or Jack McBean in a regular season game this year?
If we see McBean, I'd like to see him as an impact sub. At least initially. There's a danger that gambling on him could dent his confidence and affect his progress if it doesn't pay off.
I like Edson but we have a surplus of forwards who can't score. Any warm body up there can get the same result.
dag on it.... lets hope for a speedy recovery... just dont count Edson out for the season.. L.A. can still land a playoff berth.. we just need to catch a dam break now and then.. we are like so due for that dam break ... players need to step up, thats all there is to it, we're hanging on a thread here.. a little help please!!!![/quote]
Please give him our regards. You know with Edson that once he gets a couple, he's prone to going on a streak.
Yup. Let's all hope this has been a lingering problem that they finally figured out and when he's back from rehab he'll look like the Buddle from two years ago, not like the Buddle from five years in the future who gimps around with no touch or purpose.
Any news on how Buddle is coming along? Donovan and Keane are great up top and Buddle could be great coming off the bench.
WIth LD stupidly picking up a yellow and missing the FCD match it sure would be nice to have Buddle as an option. He isn't ready though. The blog from 7/20 said he was at least a week away.
