LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Bill Clinton is hosting a party befitting his role as a political rock star — complete with actual rock stars, Hollywood luminaries, an Air Force flyover and the whiff of scandal.
    -----
There is a great deal I would like to say about Bubba's new library (both books?) but I think the liberal "Washington Post" said it best today... they surface the interesting tidbit that Denise Rich, wife of felon Mark Rich, who Bubba pardoned, donated $450,000 toward this $185 million library "bridge to where ever?" boondoggle for Arkansas! That probably says more about Bubba's Presidency than anything inside this library!

I wonder if Bubba's Library has a wing dedicated to his rape victims? I mean, certainly Paula Jones, Gennifer Flowers, Kathleen Wiley, Monica Lewinsky could contribute detailed stories for such a Library Wing, but what about the women Bubba tried to silence? Juanita Broaddrick, an Arkansas nursing home operator, told NBC's Lisa Myers that she was raped by Clinton. That would make an interesting exhibit! Additionally, Eileen Wellstone, 19-year-old English woman who said Clinton sexually assaulted her after she met him at a pub near the Oxford where the future President was a student in 1969; that too would make an interesting exhibit. Additionally, Carolyn Moffet, a legal secretary in Little Rock in 1979, said she met then-governor Clinton at a political fundraiser and shortly thereafter received an invitation to meet the governor in his hotel room. "I was escorted there by a state trooper. When I went in, he was sitting on a couch, wearing only an undershirt. He pointed at his penis and told me to suck it. I told him I didn't even do that for my boyfriend and he got mad, grabbed my head and shoved it into his lap. I pulled away from him and ran out of the room." That would make an interesting exhibit. Additionally, Elizabeth Ward, the Miss Arkansas who won the Miss America crown in 1982, told friends she was forced by Clinton to have sex with him shortly after she won her state crown. Last year, Ward, who is now married with the last name of Gracen (from her first marriage), told an interviewer she did have sex with Clinton but said it was consensual. Close friends of Ward, however, say she still maintains privately that Clinton forced himself on her. That would make an interesting exhibit. Additionally, Paula Corbin, an Arkansas state worker, filed a sexual harassment case against Clinton after an encounter in a Little Rock hotel room where the then-governor exposed himself and demanded oral sex. Clinton settled the case with Jones recently with an $850,000 cash payment. That would make an interesting exhibit. Additionally, Sandra Allen James, a former Washington, DC, political fundraiser says Presidential candidate-to-be Clinton invited her to his hotel room during a political trip to the nation's capital in 1991, pinned her against the wall and stuck his hand up her dress. She says she screamed loud enough for the Arkansas State Trooper stationed outside the hotel suite to bang on the door and ask if everything was all right, at which point Clinton released her and she fled the room. When she reported the incident to her boss, he advised her to keep her mouth shut if she wanted to keep working. Miss James has since married and left Washington. Reached at her home last week, the former Miss James said she later learned that other women suffered the same fate at Clinton's hands when he was in Washington during his Presidential run. That would make an interesting exhibit. Additionally, Christy Zercher, a flight attendant on Clinton's leased campaign plane in 1992, says Presidential candidate Clinton exposed himself to her, grabbed her breasts and made explicit remarks about oral sex. A video shot on board the plane by ABC News shows an obviously inebriated Clinton with his hand between another young flight attendant's legs. Zercher said later in an interview that White House attorney Bruce Lindsey tried to pressure her into not going public about the assault. That too would make an interesting exhibit.

Turns out... Bubba's Library isn't quite big enough... the Bubba rape wing needs expansion already.

If you get to believe these stupid stories about Clinton raping women, then we get to believe the equally stupid stories about Bush paying a woman to get an abortion.

If we get to refer to Clinton as a rapist, then we also get to refer to Laura as a murderer. Didn't she run over her boyfriend when she was 17? In Laura's case, there at least was some forensic evidence of wrong-doing: a dead body.

Respectfully ITN, it has been well-chronicled here that most posters and nearly half of America could care less about the morality of the country. It is at best a relative thing. As long as the other person is doing something that is questionable, it doesn't matter what your guy did.

Bill Clinton is the poster boy for "gettin' a little on the side." His wife obviously didn't care and his daughter will get over it, so why should anyone else be concerned. His behaviour while in office is the biggest single reason this country is so split. Had he learned to keep his zipper up years ago, there would be a great many more people who respect him than there are.

He was fortunate to be president while the tech stocks were driving the economy sky high. It would be interesting to see what he could have done had he followed Jimmy Carter.

That is absolutely wrong. Completely. Just utterly, utterly wrong. Most people didn't care about the impeachment - Clinton's approval ratings just got higher and higher and higher. You're making assumptions with no bases in fact.

Few. Clinton's popularity is still quite high in the South, where most religious folks live.

It was a car accident. Her car hit his car. Whether he was her boyfriend or not hasn't been clarified.

But if Clinton can be called a rapist, why not up the ante on Laura, and claim she killed him because he would not pay for her abortion. If people want to make stuff up, well, then all bets are off!

Anyway, it was her boyfriend, at least according to the local paper in Texas.

I beg your pardon! People DID care about the lying and the adulterous affair IN THE OFFICE of the President of the United States! And I will say again, because I remember the reports, that Al Gore was "trying to be his own man" in not using Clinton even though Clinton had voluteered to go on the road for Gore. The were numerous reports of Gore trying to "walk the line" between Clinton's reputation and the need to attrack voters. Gore couldn't use Clinton as much as he would like because of this.

Kennedy was also guilty of many adulterous acts but at least they didn't take place in the Oval Office.

You and I will just have to disagree on this one. I know many people including yours truly who changed party affiliations over Clinton's behavior. It was, and still is, disgusting.

Saying Kennedy was also an adulterer doesn't justify Clinton's actions.

BTW, would it have been better had Clinton picked skinny one??? Just curious. :)

Looking at the polls, that was clearly not the case. If people cared, they were a distinct minority.

No, Gore THOUGHT he couldn't. He was wrong. Gore made a remarkably stupid decision that many called him on.

How do you know that? Besides, what difference does it make where it happened?

I don't care. The simple fact is that your assertion is wrong. The facts are against you. This isn't a "agree to disagree" point, just like "I think murdering children is OK" isn't one of them either. You're simply wrong.
