True, but his stubbornness is usually due to some quality he likes within his system, not because of time played or hierarchy. Hence him dropping players in every era he’s taken over which were considered untouchable. Remember when it seemed inevitable that antuna would be starting 2026? I feel like there were similar players in 2010, pardo, bravo, Luicito Perez, but that was so long ago. As stubborn as he was he took gio, vela, Juarez when they were still young but clearly on top of their game
