    If you add them cats such as Obed Vargas, Amaury Morales, Denzell García, Iker Fimbres, Ramiro Árciga and Hugo Camberos (without mentioning Lira and Edson), Mexico's midfield could be very fun to watch in the 2030 cycle.

    Vargas and Montiel are heavily linked to a move to Europe this summer, hopefully it happens and they both get World Cup experience next year. Just waiting to see if vasco carries through giving these young guys a chance or panics before the tournament

    We discuss the final and Mexico's summer as a whole. Overall, I think 2025 has been good for Vasco and the team.

    People have been really harsh in terms of their form too, I see a lot of ‘they’re winning but while playing bad etc’ but I see a lot of improvement in their passing, especially out of the back, as well as improved set pieces, and defense in general. I think people just have absurd expectations, this team isn’t recognizable from the way we played in the second half of the tata era or even the lozano/cocca era. I was a doubter but I’ve been proven wrong imo

    This team has an identity. People called out Vasco for saying some players played scared but it's part of the identity he is building in the team. Play hard and don't coward against opposition. i think the young guys got that message loud and clear.
