so I got slammed 6-0 by dcu and I'm not one for sour grapes... but the reason I was into the BS cup was I thought it was a reserve cup and we were posting our starters as proof. twice now I've play guys with 4-6 usual starters....perhaps we shouldn't have let teams in without a 22 player roster. I'll stick it out to the end and maybe go 0-6 with my crappy reserve team, remembering the goal is training not w/l's....
haha yeah, i am not trying to get wins, i mean these are friendlies.. but i am buying some more dudes pretty soon to add to my lineup once i have the $$ but i went through a pretty bad debt run and had to sell alot of players but like i said i tried to cut the emphasis i had on the starters which i HAD to use, by playing a 3-4-3 and playing attack through middle, and my middle was reserves, and i played a trainee forward, reserve central defender and reserve keeper ill post my lineups when i get home

My beef with what Norge did, was the fact that he DID have enough to field almost a full team, he would have had 2 first teamers on as he has 20 players. The problem with only allowing teams with 22 players, is that a lot of the teams here aren't caring 22 players to save money(ie DC Untied), most of the time, you only need your trainees, plus replacements at every position. So that would mean the minimum you could carry is 16 players if you train keeper. I personally carry 22 players just because it's fun for me to play an entire second team in friendlies. By the way ur_land, how does the knock out round go again? Are all of us seeded and then play knock out or is it only top two? I can't remember and I'm too lazy wade through the main hattrick thread. Having a whole forum for this has spoiled me.
I did have had 3 starters playing, but you did get my trainees. I'm short a forward, keeper and defender.
I went skimming through the big thread and found the rules as posted by ur_land. The only things i'd point out are 2 points for a win (Both Kuhnscoot and I have been updating the results on our web pages using 3) and you are allowed up to 4 league starters in the games.
Damn--not following my own rules-- I hate when that happens. So--aftger a period of recusal, I'm going to pull a Scalia and make a final pronouncement. I don't think what Norge and I did was done with malicious intent, so only one point should be deducted from our point standings and one point added to Deuteroximide and Raytown. When I first did the "4 starters" rule, I thought it would be 4 "typical" starters. However, I see that not everyone was on my wavelength, and that figuring out someone's typical starters is too labor intensive. So I hereby announce a rule change: 1. Only 4 starters from the previous Sunday's league game can play in the BS cup game the following Wed. 2. The only exceptions to this is if your roster is too small via injuries, chapness, or overall training plan (this rule will be known as the "DC Untied exception"). 3. EACH SUNDAY, one of us will start a "My starters for week X" thread after our League games have started (so out opponents can't snoop out our strategies here). These posts will serve as notification of the starting lineups for that week. Lineups must be posted no later than Tuesday night (and if they're posted later than Monday, you should expect some good-natured insults and general cat-calling). This will add more threads ot our forum, but that's why we have the forum in the first place, and the threads will gradually disappear from sight. 4. FROM NOW ON, if you start in your BS cup game more than 4 players that played in your league game you will forfeit the game, and you opponent will be awarded 2 points and a scoreline of 5-0, unless you qualify for the exception described in item (2). 5. This rule may be changed upon feedback from the BS hattrick community. All appeals will be heard and handled by me (yay for real ultimate POWER!), with the advice of the community. In case I screw up again, appeals regarding me will be handeled by appointing a temporary BS cup dictator for life. How's that look?
Sounds good to me. Here is how I keep to 4 starters and keep training. I train playmaking, all 5 of my starting midfield switch with my reserves. That means I get my usual batch of 10 middies trained. My gk switches with a back up, one of my forwards switches with a back up. My three defenders and one forward are starters in both league and BS Cup matches.
going to HT to accept now.... ur-land...I'm glad you laid out that rule, I think that works wellm using a MAX 4 guys from the previous league match... I'd propose for next season a true "reserve" cup where you can use 2 max from your league games...
Ok thanks, so now I need to go update my records on the BS Cup page that shows 3 points. so ur_land, does that mean that you and Norge only get 1 point for that win last week, and me and Deuteroximide get 1 point too? That's what I am thinking you are saying, so that's what I'll do, if that's wrong tell me.
Have challenged untied, waiting for acceptance. So where do we stand on the whole points/standings issue?
That's what I'm saying. It's as if we tied--put it down as a one-time-only decision by the FA......(or is that HA?)

I would have more, but lost 10% after relegation to VI. I am slowly building them back up. My series is really helping along in this regard because of the bots I am competing against.
I'm up over 1100 now. A six game winning streak end of last season and beginning of this one helped me out a lot. In the past 1 and a half seasons, I've only lost like 4 supporters, and that was after getting shut out at home a few weeks ago to the best team in the league the first time he played his A-team in league.
My last league line up was: Navarro Aparicio - Pfeiffer, Lynn, Crowley - Hays, Griggs, Rammo, Mariano, Hjerttorp - Ochoa, Wiebusch. Oh yeah I have 948 supporters.
