Keeping in mind what BostonRed said in the previous post, Kayo is listed on the 2021-2022 VfL Wolfsburg first team roster on the official website but without a sqaud number.
Just happened. Sounds like they are shipping off the U19 age-outs to Austria if they aren't in consideration for the 1st team.
No. 2002s age out of the U19s for the upcoming season. In the youth Bundesligas, U19s are 2003s and younger and U17s are 2005s and younger.
Still up in the air but he’ll either join newly promoted 3 Liga side Viktoria Berlin once fit or he’ll have a chance to impress new coach Van Bommel before the end of preseason
Seems like dissolving the U23 results in a much more honest assessment by the club. No more fiddling around. Its probably best for the players who would otherwise have wasted their time in the 4th division.
Likely to need to leave for this season: https://www.sportbuzzer.de/artikel/...alente-fur-den/amp/?__twitter_impression=true Three new players are coming, but how many players will VfL still leave? After the dissolution of the U23s, Bryang Kayo, Dominik Marx, Marcel Beifus, Jannis Lang and Kobe Hernandez-Forster had a hard time. They did part of the preparation with the professionals, but would have to assert themselves in the first team to get playing time. because they are already too old for the U19. It looks a lot like the quintet will leave the club - where to, but it is still open.
Going on loan to FC Victoria in 3.Liga: https://www.vfl-wolfsburg.de/newsdetails/news-detail/detail/news/leihe-nach-berlin/
The thrill of Viktoria Berlin: https://viktoria.berlin/2021/07/30/viktoria-berlin-leiht-us-talent-bryang-kayo-vom-vfl-wolfsburg/ His coach is the rather wonderfully named Benedetto Muzzicato, a German-Italian who had a 15-year journeyman playing career and has been coaching since.
Is this a good development? Is lending a 19-year old to a third-division team a good sign of where and how Woflsburg rates him? In the Goldilocks Paradigm of loans, where does this fall?
Seems like he comes into a competitive environment at Viktoria. According to a local fan, the CM is the best-filled position at the Berlin club. Menz (captain, 32) and Jopek (27) are said to be the two unchallenged starters. Behind them Kayo has to compete with Nehrig (St. Pauli, Greuther Fürth) and Theisen (Nürnberg Reserve). 3.Liga itself is a good test of whether you have what it takes to be a professional. Upcoming matches RB Leipzig (friendly match) -August 08 Wittenauer SC (Berlin Cup) -August 11
Just an insider fyi, Viktoria does some of the best, if not the best youth work for... U13s and below in Berlin.
Wasn't Chris Richards playing mostly 3. Liga at the same age? From that perspective this probably isn't that bad of a move. Obviously shouldn't be playing at this level for more than a year though.
Played 30 minutes in today's friendly against RB Leipzig. Die Partie gibt's live bei uns auf YouTube ➡️ https://t.co/5qwqdL41xm— RB Leipzig (@RBLeipzig) August 8, 2021
Goal and 2 assists (vs a 6th or 7th division) in first start Bryang Kayo scored in a 8-0 win in the “Landespokal Berlin” against a team that I’m currently struggling to find what division they play in. My best guess is 6th, 7th, or 8th division. Will update.— Daniel (@DanielSmith1022) August 11, 2021
