If they released him for January camp, he would have been released for qualifying. Kreis is likely going to roll with Yueill and Cardoso/Perea at the No 6.
Just curious: I’ve seen you mention Johnny for Olympic qualifying before... is this what you’d like to see (and believe possible) or is there some insider info that Johnny could get picked. Either way, I would love to see it happen. I’m a little nervous about Perea/Tessman still (I think they can get the job done though) and I would prefer Johnny. It seems like Kayo is forever away from the first team and a higher level.

Given that Wolfsburg is dissolving their reserve team after this season....yeah, pretty good chance he’ll start the preseason with their first team.
very interesting... seems that Wolfsburg is overhauling their entire youth development academy system. Their best prospects will be loaned out to St. Polten in Austria for professional experience rather than having a whole reserve/ U-23 team. Looks like less spots in their academy making it harder for youth players to get their shot. I am assuming this has a lot to do with the impact of COVID. Clubs are going to have to cut their budgets somehow. https://www.ruetir.com/2021/05/11/w... Wolfsburg has decided to,in the “VfL-Fußball.
only to the extent that all the agents (that didn't predict the virus and its effect on most teams) screwed up.
The first training session will be streamed on Youtube. According to the official website, the best youth players will get a chance under new coach Van Bommel in the opening week.
According to this thread, Wolfsburg gave Kayo’s name to a Kicker reporter that he was part of the preseason squad. He later insinuates something could be happening behind the scenes Die Namen hatte der VfL mitgeteilt, aber in der Tat: Auf dem Platz stand Kayo nicht. There are two commentators, one suggest Kobe for an upcoming tesr game and the other guy supports the idea of having him play as he is from the U19 team
According to this report he’s in rehab from an injury https://www.sportbuzzer.de/artikel/...talente-spielen-auch-in-der-champions-league/
Kayo has moved up to Wolfsburg's first team, according to Transfermarkt. Take it with a grain of salt, but Transfermarkt usually doesn't jump the gun with moving prospects up to the first team squad. For instance, they still list Folarin Balogun with Arsenal's U23s. https://www.transfermarkt.com/bryang-kayo/profil/spieler/666821
are we worried the next stop for kayo/khf is go find another club? or are they going to matriculate to st polten? either being a part of the first seems farfetched and neither other scenario seems ideal
