A newly promoted Championship side..........interesting. Good for Barnsley but good for Bjorn?

I always felt like his game suited English football better than most other Euro leagues. It will best interesting to see how he fits into Barnsley's setup 'cause I'm not familiar with them. If they attack with a lot of wide play he could be in for a potentially solid year... if he can stay healthy.

Forest was in the Championship Vortex, but Barnsley is a newly-promoted side w/out a lot of resources as far as I know, so earning promotion may well be even more difficult there, with almost surely having a higher chance of relegation. I'd have taken the Forest offer probably, and after his breakout w/ ADO either tried to move to England from there or remained. Then the over/under would have been one of the best Championship sides I think.

Oh.... I agree. His game screams English football. Classic solid #9 who relies on service from the wings. But with a newly promoted side, where resources might not be the best, Bjorn may find himself devoid of service or on an island by himself.

Yeah, I think he will/or would have done well there. He's big, fast, skillful enough, and plays a frenetic style.

You just have to question the management decisions over the course of his career. One of the most bizarre paths taken in YA history. He must be a very loyal and optimistic guy to be thrilled about destinations like Lovech, Hearts, and Barnsley. The only one that made sense at the time was ADO.

If he ends in the Championship, it means he's a Yank Abroad at heart.

I don't think that Barnsley report was legit. The guy has a modest follower total, no official title, and there has been no corroboration since.

DNP in a 0-0 tie away at Mariupol. Not a bad result, those Eastern Euro teams are tricky at home.

    DNP in a 4-0 win.

The match was held at ADO Den Haag because AZ's stadium roof went like this:
