Just 7 open play assists. Set piece merchant. I’d give him credit if his set pieces were actually good, but they are just lofted balls into the box with wwe style wrestling going on. These wouldn’t work in Portugal games since only the epl allows this nonsense. Saka and rice get a lot of assists with this bs as well

It would be impressive if he breaks the epl assist record though

He’d be the only Portuguese player with a record in the only league that matters, and therefore the goat Portuguese player by default. Incredible.

he plays the same way he always has, he’s just been playing as a second striker recently so his shitty defensive qualities are not being exposed because he has two dms doing the work for him

Is he doing the dms work by running the attack?

Na ive always been critical of brunos performances and numerous times on this forum ive pointed out that, despite his stats, his overall performances have been absolute trash. This is different. Playing more simple, losing possession less, touch is on point, been great on the half turn in tight spaces im not even talking about the numbers cause hes always produced decent numbers because of his position on the field. Im talking about the other qualities ive consistently criticized in the past. Can he keep this up? No idea, but I hope it carries on into the WC because we know dam well martinez was going to start him in our midfield regardless of form.
