Brooks, Morales?: Hertha Berlin vs SC Paderborn 07

Brooks has been mentioned a few times but I don't speak German so there you go

 

Just talking about how it's his first game as a professional, how he is from Berlin with a German mother and American Father. That he was playing for the A-Youth team last season, not even for the U23/reserve team.

 

He's a lot faster and mobile than I imagined he'd be.

 

Brooks with a free kick. Nothing comes of it, Looked like him but I looked away from the monitor too early.

 

His distribution from the back is very good too. 2 pretty accurate long balls already.

 

Yellow cleats help. Apparently he is left-footed.

Brooks not involved. Berlin player takes an elbow to the jaw that draws blood from a Paderborn player. It was on a high ball that both went up for.

 

Brooks just prevented a Paderborn cross from reaching a forward. He's looked rather comfortable both on and off the ball so far.

 

And he just successfully sprung the offside trap to prevent a breakaway.

 

Score Paderborn. Brooks partially at fault on that one.

 

A very minimal part. Original breakaway was the fault of the DM, but on the cross he may have been able to get a foot on it to deflect it.

 

Mistake in the midfield and then the whole defense gets burned.
