Does anyone know if the MLS Reunion Game on July 31 will be broadcast? It actually sounds like a more interesting game to me than the All-Star game...I know the All-Star game is broadcasting on ABC, but I haven't been able to find anything about the Reunion game broadcasting.

It would be cool if there was at least a webcast on mlsnet or something. I would like to see this 'game' almost as much as the actual all-star game.

I was thinking the same thing. It sounds like a lot of fun to watch.

IF they cant come up with the time slot somewhere(its only 2 weeks away), they should still record it and commentate it and look for when/where to broadcast it later. Its an interesting game, more interesting than the E v. W game, we see those players everyweek, these old farts hold some of our best(worst) memories and it wouldnt be too bad to see them one more time.

Maybe they can sell it as a DVD with the AS Game and the Reunion Game.

That's a great idea. I was disappointed when they moved the game to RFK that weekend because I had arranged to be out of town. And I would really like to see the old farts play.

I am hoping that FSW will step up to the plate just like they did for the Cienfuegos testimonial match a month ago (tape-delayed broadcast).

C'mon: Fox Sports World. Demonstrate once again that you are America's destination for soccer.

Difference is, I think Fox was going to video the game that followed it, so they had the cameras in place and stuff. However here, it's an ABC game that follows, so I kinda doubt they'll be able to use the same equipment and crew.

I don't think they will show it live or on tape in full but I'm hoping they show highlites at halftime of the all-star game.

I thought the DC United announcer Dave Johnson made reference to calling the game during the DC/Dallas broadcast. But I don't have any hard facts.

    Thx,

    Jay!

It seems the only way to see it is going to be a drive to RFK.

Which is an ironic crock of ********. Considering the Kansas City at Los Angeles game that followed the Cienfuegos match is one of 6 MLS games so far this season that has never been broadcast.

There goes that theory put forth by Billward:

I was at the KC-LA/Cien Testimonial doubleheader and I had forgotten that the MLS game was not broadcast at all. My original plea to FSW still stands: broadcast this game, pretty please. Strangely enough, I am more interested in watching this old-timers' game than the one involving the current generation.

yes it was. It was on the Direct Kick pkg with KC commentators.
I don't find it strange that you more interested in the 'Old Boy's' game. I am. You couldn't pay me to watch the main event but seeing some old timers out there again would attract my attention. Wonder if they'll play 35 minute halfs like the Cien match. That as about all they could handle before bring out the Oxygen tanks. :)

I'd like to find someone with a tape, then. I've been recording the whole season, and that game was not on DirecTV's version of DirectKick. Are you sure you're not thinking of some other game? This was the game that was originally supposed to be on espn2 this coming weekend. It was never on the KC MetroSports schedule.

MAY 01 not shown 0:2 MLS 021 - Colorado at Kansas City
MAY 15 not shown 0:1 MLS 030 - Kansas City at DC United
MAY 29 not shown 0:1 MLS 041 - Colorado at Chicago
JUN 05 not shown 2:1 MLS 086 - Kansas City at Los Angeles
JUN 12 not shown 0:0 MLS 050 - Colorado at DC United
JUN 26 not shown 2:1 MLS 061 - Colorado at Columbus

If - in fact - the KC@LA game was broadcast, I'm very interested in a tape.

not to pick on you, but in general terms to many posters wish to see this ,i don't get it ?

what is the fascination of the oldtimers kicking a ball around, we don't even know who they are, if i would feel like you guys then i definetly made sure to be there, but to demand/begg on your knees to have the game on the tube is totaly ridiculous

I as well, would love to see the 1994 USA team playing in this game. To see Tab and the rest of the boys together again would be great! I think this first game will be more interesting than the all star game.
Seems like no word yet for tv - I will update if I see anything announced... any word so far?
