Does anyone know of a link to a list of British players to have played in France. The majority seem to have been in the late 1980s and early 1990s -
Hateley, Waddle, Hoddle, Steven, Allen, Johnston, Stein, Rix and recently Michael Hughes at Strasbourg.

Anyone think of any others or any earlier than the mid-80s?

What about Frenchmen in England. Prior to Cantona which Frenchmen played in England? Did Didier Six play in England briefly?

Derek McInnes played at Toulouse for a while. So did Iain Anderson.

Cascarino is not a real Irish....He is born in England from an italian father an an english mother. He was selected in Irish team thanks to his grand father who was irish. But, in 1996, his mother said he was adopted, so he had really no link with this grandfather.
But he continues to play for Ireland till 1999.

Well , it doesnt matter... It was just to tell the story :)
