Northern Ireland international Ivan Sproule is set to make his debut for Bristol City.

Sproule has served a four-match ban and takes his place in an otherwise unchanged Robins'squad.

Manchester City are set to hand teenage midfielder Shaleum Logan a chance as first-team players are rested.

Vedran Corluka could move to the centre of defence, Rolando Bianchi could start after being on the bench for the last two games.

I wonder if Eriksson even cares about the Carling Cup. FA cup maybe.

At least he cared enough to have Bianchi get the game-winner so we'll at least make it to the next round.

Nice win. I saw the 2nd half. Both teams looked good and played some nice football.

A bit nervy but its the result that counts and we're through to the next round! I had the uncomfortable pleasure of not knowing what the score was through an eight hour flight from Toronto so I was anxious to find out the result. I was expecting us to turn into 'typical' us again and be brought back down to earth with a defeat but it seems like those days might actually be behind us! I'd like to miss out any big Premiership club and get a home tie against a lower Premiership team or lower league side. It was good to see Bianchi and Mpenza linking up together well and both scoring.

it could be a backup plan if we don't finish 5th to 7th. However, if we are doing well in the tables, then this will only tire out the players.

Got back from this at 2am this morning.

    Good day out.

Good performance from the boys and a good atmosphere from City fans.

    Cant ask for more.

    4 wins out of 5 :D

    Hey all,

I am still out on holiday so I didn't catch this game. Glad we got the result though. I see Sven took the chance to rest some players based on the lineup he put in there.
