great link Bill.. Nice to see stuff like that happening.. looks like the British soccer continues to struggle from all angles..
It's sickening how a lifetime of propaganda has warped the minds of young Iraqis: "Beckham is best, Beckham is best!" shouted Mohammad, a 21-year-old spectator.
It gets worse: Hundreds of children chanted, some sporting the red shirts of Manchester United or Arsenal, carrying playing card pictures of David Beckham and David Seaman.
So now we know who constitutes the Man U fan base: brainwashed Iraqis, Asian hordes, and English fags.
I am so g%dd@mn sick of people not putting an R in the title!!! I was going to watch the match on Abu Dhabi TV!!!!
The absence of Uday "Motivation by Fear" Hussein must did wonders. See https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=42534
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the obvious here, and that is the British most likely threw the game as a means of gaining favor with the local Iraqis. Good will and all that stuff.
I have been wanting to see the video footage of the match, but haven't come across it to date. My brother said they ran the loop three times on MSNBC. Any other spottings? Gringo Tex, the comment was great.
