Give him a 2 year deal and good money.

The guy was spectacular during his stay in MLS. From every aspect. He talks a lot of shite, and backs up every word of it...especially in big games.

He was a PR dream. He can play the good guy and the villain. He easily outshone Beckham in my eyes, even if Beckham sold more tickets.

His debut game in MLS was the one of the greatest things I've ever seen not just in soccer, but in sports (given the circumstances).

I have no clue how well Zlatan will perform. Even the greatest fall apart at some point. But I would never bet against the guy and for PR purposes alone (and ticket and shirt sales), he's worth it. He will train his butt off and you know he will do everything in his power to get back to his best.

Do it, MLS. Sign him for next season. Let Miami (who pretty desperately need a boost) sign him.

    Long live the lion!

No. MLS is not a retirement league like the Series A.

I get it and agree with your comments from his earlier sting with LAG. However, at this point, the risk/reward ratio is too high for someone his age and coming off a knee injury. Of course, I would be fine if he came back to the LAG and screwed up their team.

His agent literally went on record saying coming to MLS was a waste of time for Zlatan. Why do we want such people back?

No thanks. Keep the insufferable egomaniac in Europe.

For such an arrogant person he looked meek when he went to visit The Lakers. You can see in his body language that he no longer was the big man in the room.

Basketball stars are the biggest (figuratively and literally) stars in the world.

I know some hate the guy.

But at least he illicits emotions like in the top European rivalries.

Nothing worse than a product lacking oomph.

A la Didier Drogba with Phoenix Rising?

Can you imagine an Op Ed like this one from Drogba, from Zlatan?

    Really? I wouldn't be surprised.

Other professional athletes tend to respect professional athletes in other sports (i.e. American football & rugby), at least to my knowledge, but Zlatan is the first to openly disrespect the league as the world nodded and cheered in agreement, and the American sports landscape. Then again no one really cared in the US when his controversial statements rolled off his tongue besides soccer fans & ESPN FC because Zlatan isn't a household name in said sporting landscape.
