Decent rotation expected here. Brighton has played well since the break and probably kept themselves from being relegated.
Here is a lineup I would like to see tomorrow: Alisson Neco Gomez Virgil Robertson Henderson Minamino Wijnaldjum Salah Firmino Mane I think Minamino and Firmino would be really interesting working together. This could morph into a 4-4-2 with Minamino and Firmino forming double false 9's. However, Salah and Mane would end up the most advanced with both Bobby and Minamino dropping in behind. Trent could use a rest, and Klopp seems very interested in giving Neco a chance. Fabinho has not been rested yet, so I left him out. You could also choose to rest Gomez instead of Fabinho and start Fabinho at centerback. I would have Naby on the bench and start him again on Saturday.
#LFC to face Brighton: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Williams, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Keita, Salah, Firmino, Oxlade-Chamberlain.
#LFC starting XI v #BHAFC: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Williams, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Salah, Firmino Subs: Adrian, Robertson, Milner, Fabinho, Jones, Minamino, Elliott, Mane, Origi
I'm never a fan of Ox in the front 3. Will Trent or Neco play left back? Trent cutting in on his right foot could be interesting. Salah the only left footed player in that team. I'm starting to realize that the 5 subs thing is a major advantage (and now they are talking about keeping it for next season). Klopp can afford to take a few risks in the starting lineup, because he knows he can make the changes if needed. After 55 minutes Klopp can bring on a triple sub of Fabinho, Mane, and Robertson and completely blow up the game. He did it against Villa when he brought on Henderson, Gini, and Firmino all at once.
I'd say Neco at lb . I read somewhere that he's played there for Wales . if Neco proves able cover either side that's a bonus for him and the team.
Keita's vision is second to none..He will blossom and be a key part in our back to back title win next year as long as he's injury free.
That cross field 80 yard pass from Neco to TAA Kid looks like he's gonna be as good as TAA if not better.
Not bad in the first quarter. I didn’t hear the 2 minute warning though. Good run, and a better stop from Alison. is so good to hear a different set of comms. Getting tired of White, Fkn Dixon and LeSaux.
