"While the quality of goals is up in MLS this year, it would be hard to argue against the officiating being worse. Five red cards were issued this weekend and a serious case could be made against all of them. DiGiamarino and Los Angeles defender Ezra Hendrickson were issued second yellow cards on plays where they barely touched the opponent, if at all. Dallas defender Ryan Suarez earned a second yellow for what amounted to a shoulder-to-shoulder challenge on the Galaxy's Cobi Jones. If the calls don't improve, teams might start praying that World Cup official Brian Hall, the league's most consistent and best referee, calls their games.."
