No, the measures are over weighting goals…they likely are simple +1 for each Numbers aside, it was a clear step up and MOTM game
Depends upon whether he worked for government or not. Ignore that comment. However, I have been skeptical of rating systems since 1962.
The thing is, the ratings algorithm is the algorithm…so all players are rated the same way…better performances are rated higher than lesser performances. Guti had the type of night that will keep his trajectory rising and likely not here much longer. I’m hoping for 1 more year (through til 2026 summer window) but that is (only) best case for local fans.
The accuracy and weighting of the algorithm does matter. What if it deducted 1 point for every foul committed by the player? Or maybe adds 1 point for every slide tackle? Or…Or…Or….. The results could/would be much different under different “rules”. “Better” or “Lesser” is defined by the ratings algorithm, for better or worse.
I am not truly certain an algorithm is actually used...I suspect someone just...rates as they see fit. Heck I would...but I tend to rate as a 5 is completely average game.
Of course, recall the chatter about the trend since injury. Looking forward to the rest of this road trip. Missing the point. I posted 3 different algorithms and their ratings of Guti weren’t that different from each other. And the relative performance between the rest of players were rated similarly. So…be it a 6, 7, 8, or 9, who cares?! Why argue over what should be an 8 when the whole point is relative measure. is Is there anyone that should have rated higher than Guti in that game? Answer the question please
That is not true. Per the Chicago Fire/MLS website: 15 goals 5 assists Are they claiming two points for a goal?!?
I think Mapp started at 19 years old while Brian started at 16 years old. What a stupid star without analysis.
