Hey all, I am an Australian wondering about what Parma supporters think about Marco Bresciano and Vince Grella.

Since we don't have much Italian league coverage down here, i have only really seen them in action for Australia. How have they been playing for Parma? How much do you rate them?

I'm not a Parma supporter, but I'd say Bresciano made an impression among Serie A observers even before this year with some nice goals. Both players have been starting all season (Bresciano missed one game with a slight injury). Parma has been playing a 4-2-3-1 with Bresciano playing one of the 3 attackers supporting front-runner Gilardino. Grella is one of the 2 holding midfielders, although with Parma usually needing to get a goal, he's been subbed out late in most games. It's hard to judge how successful they've been when the entire team is struggling so badly.

Mark Bresciano really impressed me last season with some spectacular goals, must say.
Remember a strike from top of box to beat Lazio 3-2, early in the season last year.

Vincenzo Grella heard of him, haven't seen much if any of him.

Bresciano I watched a few times, and he's good, hard-working and has a good shot and pass. I don't think he has the "flair" or his opposite flank number Marchionni, but he's a good physical attacking midfielder, and very important to Parma.

Mark Bresciano scores a very well orchestrated goal as Parma win 3-1.

I saw the goal on GolTV highlights show: it was awesome. The other two goals were even better, though. Marchionni had a sweet bike, and Gilardino added a nice chest-and-volley with his left foot. If we can do that every week, we'll have something. Apparently, it was all down to Morfeo, who had all three assists... :)

Marco has probably been the best Socceroo in terms of performances when he has played recently. The most expensive Australian footballer in history.

Is that right? Even more expensive than the likes of Kewell and Viduka??

Liverpool stole Kewell from Leeds for 3 million, due to the fact his contract was expiring. I think Viduka's transfer fee was 5 million to Boro, and something similar to that when he left Celtic for Leeds.

Bresciano cost Parma 6 or 7 million from Empoli if I am not mistaken.

Did Empoli ever GET the money? :D I guess this must've been before the Parmalat meltdown when Parma thought it had money to spend.
