The only player that looks like he actually belongs at our club is Gusto.

Another performance worthy of a pile of shit on the ground.

Defensive structure a throwback to Lampardian times. Brentford missing half their squad and we struggle again.

I just don't know where we go from here....I don't see a vision, I don't see anything resembling a future.

Good news, after a long study starting last summer:

"Chelsea are set to recruit specialist coaches to work in a new dedicated set-piece department, despite head coach Mauricio Pochettino dismissing their importance only a month ago."

hope they did not come up with that late trick play on the edge of the box:rolleyes:

We need a committee to do a long study on never associating with anyone from Brighton or LA again

We should get a coach for motivation too? And a coach for defending?

IF we are hiring other coaches without the approval of our current manager, then maybe it is the beginning of the end for Poch?

    Petrovic.
Chillwell for his 20 games a season?
    Palmer.

Gallagher for the squad though maybe not the starting line-up.
Enzo i would keep in the squad - not based on his performance today though.

    the rest? Not so much.

I really don’t get the Jackson hate. Last year was his first year as a starter in La Liga and he scored 13 goals and had 5 assists in 2,117 across all comps. In his second year as a full time starter he’s moved to the toughest league in the world that takes a year to usually adjust to and scores 11 goals and 3 assists in 2,274 across all comps. He’s 22 years old. No he’s not World Class. Yes he needs to get better. But damn, the kid has all the tools you need to be a top class striker. I think people are putting unrealistic expectations on him. This team has larger issues than his play.

I get it - he stats are good and he can score goals.

The expectations are because he's at a top club. Well, we were. People need to lower their expectations.

And also, Jackson does a lot of infuriating things.

    the yellow cards
    not looking for a pass
    weak hold up play
not bringing it to the corner to kill time
    stepovers turn into blunder bumbling
    turnovers turnovers turnovers

Not enough tattoos, either. If any? He needs to get some tattoos to match the rest of this infantile squad of morons.

It’s more than just his stats. Watch him play. He’s got a very good blend of strength and speed. He’s got a good touch and hold up play. He’s got good movement and can move out wide to create space. He’s got the tools. He’s certainly still inconsistent but for a 22 year old in his first full season as a locked in starter and second season as a 1st team player / starter it’s fairly good. Add in his cost and it’s even better as far as business goes. I expect him to be much better next year.

No we’re not Chelsea of the Roman era. We shouldn’t lower our expectations, we should absolutely expect more. I’m just surprised to see his name the one called out so often. Yes he’s missed some. But him and Palmer have been the two bright spots up front. Sterling, Nkunku and Mud have all left a lot to be desired. Noni has flashed but also shouldn’t have a lot of expectations. We get anything consistent from that 3rd spot up front and this team would look and feel a lot different.

The yellows can be frustrating but also love the shithousery
He’s a striker, expect him to be selfish sometimes. He also has picked out some lovely passes.
His holdplay has been good. Inconsistent at times but good when you look at the full body of work. I expect that improve as he gets older and stronger.
Young, he will learn situational soccer as he gets more experience.
Yea that was bad but I like the confidence. You need that as a striker.
He’s a striker, it’s gonna happen. As long as it’s not in the middle of the park when he drops back, we’re fine.

Hell yeah! :-D. its so hard to admit it but we've been 'mid table' ever since the UK government did the dirty on us all in the name of the Ukraine war.

Still a draw at Brentford equals the best result we've had against them in the last FIVE attempts we've had at beating them..............so we're getting 'slightly' better perhaps! :-D

Apparently there were Chelsea chants of Boehly you're a kunt yesterday.

The players now have some time off to get rested and un-fatigued. Poch will organize a BBQ for the players no doubt.
