It’s stupid to me that’s a yellow card. If Rodrigo or any player thumps the ball at another player, yes, absolutely a yellow, but into the ground?! Is the grass or dirt’s feelings gonna be hurt?

You’re describing him as a “try hard” - but he didn’t get purchased because he just tries really hard. His moves and passes aren’t coming off lately but he does make incisive passes - he does operate well in traffic - and he he’s good in this system.

It’s possible he’s being found out at this level or he needs time to adjust - and it’s a lot of running and minutes for him. It may be confidence and exhaustion. He does need to stop the back heels though.

And my favorite whipping boy (Rodrigo) creates a great chance that's saved.

Correct sub - BA off for Sinisterra. I just think it happened 8-10 minutes too late

Thanks Toney for not controlling your emotions. Whew, you killed an attack by your team. Whew

Someone scores the game winner in the 88th minute. Given Leeds' luck, it'll be Brentford on their only remotely decent chance of 2nd half.

A draw actually isn't a nightmare scenario. They'll rise one place on the table into 15th with a game in hand on everyone else. But this will hurt if they don't win, because they've looked good.

Here comes the (rejuvenated?) Patrick Bamford.

Another good bit of interplay leads to Sinisterra not being able to get the ball out of his feet. 83rd minute.

Brentford really was here for the taking. Leeds have to get these results at home, at least 3 points here and there.

Jesse can’t be totally blamed for the lack of precision at the final third, but I would argue that attacking subs should have come way sooner, and I still don’t think BA is a starter right now.

Wissa showing one of the dumbest ways to get a yellow card. Refuses to give 10 yards even with the ref right in front of him telling him to move back.

Leeds maybe gets one last chance to bomb the ball into the box from near midfield. We'll see if the ref allows it.

Final whistle. 0-0. Leeds should have won this one.

Disappointing. But a point is a point, and it's against the #9 team on the table. If they keep playing like this, the wins will come.

Yep, Leeds were the better team all game. Leeds might regret not getting a win against a beatable opponent today.

Leeds should have won. TA is consistent, Jesse made good subs and likely had a good discussion at the half (they looked more composed in the second half) .... BA needs to be on the bench for a few games. But they yielded NO GOALS .... which is very good for them. Jesse needs to go from the start with Sinistera and Gnonto on the wings and then start with Rodrigo and Harrison inside. Roca also had a meh game.

Rodrigo is the worst player that is good; or maybe the best bad player. He can finish though

I would like to see televised matches with just a play-by-play guy, no color guy. It would be nice not having somebody telling you what to think.
