Former New York City man Taty Castellanos scored West Ham's second and third less than a minute apart.
And now it's 4. I don't think WH have scored 4 in a game since Artie pulled the dagger from the rocky thing.
Would not want to be a Tottenham fan right now. And Leeds not quite safe yet but it seems likely it'll be a three-day slog for the last relegation spot between WH, THam and NF
It is gonna happen, Tottenham are going down and it is hilarious. if last seasons bottom three werent so dire, them and Man U would/should have been in trouble too.
De Zerbi will either power them to a run of 3 wins and a draw that sees them survive on GD or they'll get hammered right and left and sink on 33-34 points. With 15 players away on (Romero and Palinha both played 180 minutes and Dragusin went 90 in a playoff game) and de Zerbii arriving in the middle of it, the international break has done them no favours at all. Farke, Nuno and Pereira have already had plenty of time to get their ideas across so the break was about fine-tuning and working on the fringe players. De Zerbi is starting from scratch.
Spurs really seem to be intent on completing the collapse, but I would not undersell Forrest's ability to choke - Leeds is like a classic cartoon character running just ahead of the collapsing cliff's edge.
Again if Leeds win their home matches against Wolves and Burnley, very hard to see them getting relegated. If they get an additional result than they are likely safe (like beating United!) Meanwhile, if they fail to get a result against Wolves, Burnley, Spurs, and West Ham they probably deserve to be relegated.
Aaronson starts! Leeds (T-15th) visiting Manchester United (T-3rd). Let's see if Leeds can get something out of this match.
Make it 2-0 for Leeds. Assist for Brendan. Sounds like they are playing well. A win today all but assures they stay up.
Oof. Aaronson with the almost hockey assist. Aaronson with a good ball to the wing, cross in to a WIDE OPEN Calvert-Lewin inside the penalty spot, but he heads it directly at the keeper. Manchester United break the other way is just barely thwarted.
Aaronson’s off a little before stopped time. Very good shift, including the assist for what would currently be the game-winning goal. 7’ of added time in what has been an action-packed game. Leeds trying to barely hold on up a man.
Aaronson plays a solid 86', assisting the second goal, and departing with a 1-2 lead (and Leeds up a man for BA's last 30'). Leeds do hold on, 1-2, and relegation seems much further removed than before the match began.
Great win for Leeds. I am really happy BA is doing well and being his usal pesty self out there, and I am glad the fans have warmed to him. Just saw his goal contribution. At the end of the day, an assist is an assist is an assist in the final tally, but boy is 'assist' doing a lot of work on this one.
This gives them 36 points and a 6-point lead on Tottenham with 6 games to go. It is inconceivable that they won't pick up the 3 points that will guarantee EPL football next season It could happen as early as this weekend
Aaronson vs ManU Started and played 85, came out up 2-1. First off, that red card was so lame. Ruined the game and even after VAR he barely grabbed the dudes ponytail. Never a red card in a million years. Shame as the game was fantastic up until then. Very typical Brenden performance with the "locked in starter" one minute and "have you ever played soccer before" then next. Obviously I'm joking a bit but man hes an enigma. For one, I love watching him play and want him always on the team. Heart, soul, effort and always potentially dangerous. His heat map and distance covered was immense today. Played wide right and tucked in a ton into the CAM space. Had 4-5 fantastic moments but 4-5 headscratchers. His strength is that transition play with the ball in space but too many times either tripped on the ball or dribbled into 3 guys or just held on too long and got it poked away. He can't keep doing that, not sure if thats fixable at his career arc but its all thats stopping him from being next level. Love seeing him always crash the box, almost like a 9 at times and always coming up as the trailing/square option the other times. Always always an option for his teammates. Nice win for Leeds. Shame the red ruined the game. Solid performance from BA.
they will be super motivated to get the 3 points in the next match at home to carry on the momentum ... first time in 45 years they have won at Old Trafford. statement win for the men from Yorkshire. BA with a good shift .... first half Shaw stayed back due to Bogle and BA ....
We can agree to disagree on the red as I thought it was the correct call, but no chance that it will result in the 3 game suspension...as for the match, United only decided to attack once they were down a man and probably deserved a point from the game. The match got better in my estimation.
Here's the view in real time and slo mo. Not even sure that's a foul. Straight red for violent conduct? Never sorry. (but I appreciate your disagreement and that's what makes the world a great place... even if you are wrong. ha ) Man United's Lisandro Martinez was shown RED for violent conduct against Leeds after VAR intervention. pic.twitter.com/GMstoLWC6I— NBC Sports Soccer (@NBCSportsSoccer) April 13, 2026
