Didn't see this but matchtracker has Aaronson coming on at 73 with Leeds down 1-0. Credits him with a good shot at 74 and then Leeds ties it up off a DC-L header assisted by Gnonto. As ArsenalMetro noted it keeps them out of the drop and just as importantly WestHam loses this week, putting 3 pts between themselves and Leeds.

I still think West Ham and other teams above them arguably have more talent - and that they may be destined for the drop.

It's going to be tough for Leeds I think, but WestHam or Forest could prove just hapless enough (unless Sarge comes in to save WHam's season). Leeds have Arse and Citeh away under their belt, as well as Villa and Chelsea home and the last 4 games have been pretty impressive, overall, even if they only picked up 5 points in 5 games, which is a good enough pace, but I doubt they can count on it continuing and they really had to want to get full points v. Brentford.

Has Farke figured things out, or is it just going to take teams a game or two to adjust to his new formation(s)?

WestHam get Citeh 2x, including in Manchester next week, which is the main disparity in the remaining schedule far as I can tell. Fulham is WHam's other remaining 2x (oddly, Forest also have Citeh and Fulham 2x remaining), while Leeds have S'land and CP, both of whom are punching above their weight this season.

Somebody is going to join Wolves and Burnley. I wouldn't count any of those 3 out.

Most likely for me is the one whose xGD puts them in the bottom 3 as well, and that's West Ham (-9.4).

Things look positively rosy for Leeds with their -1.1, 11th-best in the league. If they can stop shipping stupid goals, which will be helped by not having Karl Darlow in goal anymore, they'll end up comfortably clear of relegation.

Sarge may be leading West Ham's promotion chase next season.

I don't have your confidence (seen too many teams lose a wheel or two in the spring) but I do have your optimism! (and hope you're right. I've not liked West Ham since the Nate years.)

You know, I think my belief that they would’ve stayed up with Marsch is right.

4 unbeaten now after a storming win against Palace. 77 minutes for Aaronson.

    Brenden Aaronson - 8
He polarises supporters but the American justified his somewhat surprising inclusion in the starting XI. Pressed relentlessly and was bright on the ball.

Brenden Aaronson - Will feel he should have had a penalty. Headed the ball back in for Ampadu's goal and, as ever, kept running and mostly kept the ball. 8

Huge 3 pts for Leeds. Forest can still jump them, but with 8 pts in 5 games they are putting a little road between themselves and the stumbling WHam.

Glad Aaronson had a good game.

Leeds are safe from relegation only because Wolves, Burnley, and West Ham are dreadful. *cough* Leeds have already lost to Burnley, but let's ignore that little factoid. Chris Richards had a real stinker today.

Yes, and fück Leeds supporters for how they treat him. I hope they get relegated every year until they are a Sunday League team.

Could have had that PK but any time you spin like that in the box and the defender comes in fast you just don’t know if you will get that call …

but a great match by him - that tireless work rate pays dividends …

Farke just needs to consider Aaronson only knows one speed to play at and to not burn him out - if anything Aaronson needs to be rested some every few games or he just burns out physically and mentally - Wes knows how to rest during matches - Brendan does not.

super outside of the right foot pass to release a teammate in the second half - sublime.

Farke doing a great job adjusting lineups and formations against the opposition …

Busy, energetic and productive. The Yorkshire Evening Post review described him as "very tidy on the ball for the vast majority. Helped progress a lot of attacks. Problematic for Palace in the second half especially. Should have had a penalty."

He wasn't/didn't seem to have been tasked with creativity per se but to make a thorough nuisance of himself on and off the ball and to progress it into the box. The defence found him very hard to deal with throughout.

Palace weren't at the races at all yesterday, so it's unwise to read too much into one game but in the post-game Glasner described his team as being "bullied" by Leeds' physicality. That's not Brenden's game, but a quick-witted lightweight who can keep shape and interchange with the better creators as he did with Stach yesterday is the necessary counterweight to the muscle.

Aaronson almost had a goal. Took the ball down nicely from a cross, cut it back, and fired on goal. He beat the keeper but a defender got back to clear it off the line. Unlucky.

Aaronson receives the ball on the right wing on a mini break. Does a nice little stepover the gain a little space and sends in a nice ball to the feet of Calvert-Lewin who first times it in for the goal.
