It’s how I saw the part I watched. A bunch of mostly useless possession. They were missing the proverbial cutting edge. The dangerous moments I saw were killed in part by James.
Local rag 11 Brenden Aaronson Had some cracks at goal, but couldn't find the way through. Didn't offer a whole lot in open play going forward. Did though put in a massive shift off the ball. Eight tackles to win the ball back for the visitors. 6
James looked like a week or two away from getting back into pre-injury fitness. I guess they figured he was the next best after Ramzani who injured himself last week and will be out for quite a while with a twisted ankle (presume bad sprain). Leeds were bad because they began believing their press clippings instead of getting down to the business of winning. Farke should have made adjustments at the half because the team was just soggy as heck. Get James or Piroe off, get Joseph in there. 49'ers should consider getting Jordan Morris in on loan (if Seattle will not sell him). Scores with his left and his right and his head. Seattle never get going before July 4th anyway.
17 shots to 4 5 SOT to 0 69% possession Good point at away at a team that's in the top half of the table.
I can’t tell either. it was a much better finish than I’m used to seeing from him, I’ll give you that.
It's a common syndrome in sports, I believe. They'll get over it. def of "syndrome" a group of symptoms which consistently occur together, or a condition characterized by a set of associated symptoms: "a rare syndrome in which the production of white blood cells is damaged" a characteristic combination of opinions, emotions, or behavior.
It's his left foot. BTW, this was one of the more peculiar comments I've seen on here ---> I wouldn't even say he's a notably 1-footed player. Like, Frankie Hejduk was magnitudes above. That great goal he had last season he roofed was all w/ his left foot.
@freisland That's a better clip from another angle showing left foot clearly but it's at 1:20. There's a nice pass by Brenden to Gnonto at 1:30. It only got .07 xG when Gnonto shot but it looked like more. This game in particular shows the scope of what Brenden can do for a team when in good form/rested. I say that because some say they don't understand what he brings.
Because I am vainly proud of my excellent eyesight, very good, non better, I was able to tell that from the later cllp as well. I was just posting for those without my very-good, near-perfect, genetically-superior ocular nerve.
There’s never been a more one footed player than Preki. He once considered having his right leg removed and replaced with an appendix or arguing on the internet.
.07 XG on Gnonto's shot from the Aaronson pass shows you how unreliable small sample xg is, cuz if he takes that earlier for a better angle it's gotta be near 50/50. I feel like that's the type of goal I've seen the most in the run of play - just slashing the ball far post from a moderate angle. It goes to show you can make that style work, as maddening as it is for onlookers sometimes. It's 1 of my pet peeves, but Stoichkov was awesome. Don't remember him being 1-footed, but I was very young. You may be right. The #1 name that comes to mind from a world POV is Arjen Robben.
It's hard to be great being completely one footed but when that one foot is pure magic it can happen.
A Leeds United visit used to a cue for every thug in South London to show up to the old Den. Back in the day your average Milwall fans were salt of the earth, well behaved, lower division nerd types (anoraks) but if there was a big game, or any chance of trouble, thugs would show up in hoardes. I wonder if it's still the same.
