So far just the 1 for the extra point. Gnonto has really improved from his early days at Leeds. Looks like their best player.
Have we considered that someone is just messing around with the gravity settings in the greater-Leeds area??
BA winning possession at the top of Leeds' box, then sprinting to get on the end of the subsequent counter-attack is great stuff (and he won a corner for his effort). Just wish he could show a softer touch in the opposition's box when he's on the ball.
Brenden had 3 shots, 1 ea. at 40', 45', 50'. 40' - he's in the box on that shot which he gets off his feet quickly, true, but when in the box, the defender (Souza, who was man marking Aaronson everywhere it seemed) is likely not going to dare get into a tackle, with Aaronson already having the jump on him. Parsing shoot or hold is hard to do when the ball is in the box. In this case holding would be better especially since he only had one more player to beat and a teammate (I think Razmataz guy who can shoot) was approaching the box on the other side of that player. 45' - best chance of scoring was to sweep the ball to the right towards the area between the keeper and the far post (imho). Either it goes in on the shot or Brenden's teammate at the far post gets on it and puts it in after a keeper parry or directly off Aaronson's shot/pass at the goal or maybe the keeper saves it. I won't get into the issue of left or right foot. Brenden needs to take more mental pictures of the goal posts throughout the game and get in the habit. He seems to do that last while trying to do everything else he needs to do to shoot. While taking the picture, he should adjust his posture to the correct one. There's nothing mysterious in any of this. How do you think you get to the bathroom down a dark hallway at home? Then when you go to a hotel you have to put the lights on? 50' falling back while shooting. They should have chairs to catch the bad shooters and drones to recover the balls out of the sky.
Disappointed Paramount are not streaming Leeds .v Watford today. What's your basic maladjustment, Paramount?
Now that's the kind of quick footed goal I"ve been waiting for from Brenden - Gundogan would be impressed (see his tap in v. USA which involved flexing his knee). Leeds feasting on bottom feeder Plymouth up 3-0 after Brenden's goal. Aaronson has been incredibly mobile in this one. The nice rest after a busy schedule has him in full war horse mode.
Nice slaloming run into the box by Aaronson leads to back to back chances for Bogle and Piroe, but one is saved and one is blocked at short range.
Aaronson beats a guy who fouls him - ref calls advantage so guy keeps fouling Brenden but somehow getting held is a continued advantage? Weird decision.
Aaronson with a very poised pullback to set up Piroe for a blocked shot, then works to set up another chance 30 seconds later. Lid still on the goal for the insurance goal in stoppage time. As I type, sets up Guilavogui passing out of a triple team, but again the shot is blocked.
Brenden starting CAM v. Swansea. Solomon and James on the wings, Piroe at the 9. Swansea go up 1-0 early on a free kick.
13' nice dribble by Aaronson gets into the box after being knocked around and pulled. No whistle, naturally.
19' Aaronson picks Swansea's pocket with his head, ball falls to Leeds who counter with quick pass to James who crosses for Solomon tap in, 1-1. Aaronson actually pressed the gk to start that play, then shows up in midfield to tap the ball away for the steal.
23' Swansea guy doesn't see Leeds guy til last second and would be ejected on red card ruining the game if there were VAR in Championship.
