Thanks Freiberg for losing me money, absolutely useless side.

He got the corner that was converted for the first goal for Union. I agree that he didn't seem to be having his best game but then I look at how Union played without him. In the second half he comes off at 54'. Fotmob shows Koln having momentum from minute 50 to 82 save for a period of 4 minutes from 67-71. As the game wore on, you start to see Union starting to fall back. It didn't help that they took their Captain off as well.

Not sure how long I'll stick, but I've got this on while I caffinate. 0-0. Aaronson CF. Union just had a good counter but final pass was poor. BA not involved in last pass

Mainz just tied it up and Bochum is losing so a Union win here would save them atm. Things could change, of course. Maybe BA can save the season and leave Berlin a mini-hero...

Union literally hit a corner over everyone and out the other side for a GK. wtf. Frieburg still have outside shot at Euorpe qualifying so both will be playing all the way today.

BA one of Union's better players. Springs a counter with a good pass. Comes to nothing but checknig for handling.

Totally unconvincing shot. Relatively soft, not in corner, didn't wait for keeper to commit.

Regardless, Union will be bailed out to at least make the playoff. Koln need 4 goals.

To get an auto spot, they at least need a win. Getting help in that regard, so have to help selves.

BA has the most confidence of anyone out there. Berlin look like they've already resigned to the playoff.

As results currently stand, they just need one goal to avoid the relegation playoffs.

Also did I read correctly that Aaronson is playing CF today?

It was handed to them, pun intended... couldn't do it. Haven't watched a lot of Union this year, but they really are not sharp atm. Too slow/off target with passes. Defend ok.

Yes CF in a 3. Dropping back a bit to try to spring the wings at times.

That sounds like a team that's sorely short of attacking options.

BA has been running at the Freiburg defense effectively all day, and delivered a couple passes for chances, but overall still needs to improve his final ball.

Definitely shouldn't only play around half the game like the last 2. That would be poor discretion on the manager's part. Let him see this out.

Doesn't look like he's playing CF to me, even though he ends up there sometimes. Vertessen is playing further fw normally & BA's had a relatively free role. At 1 point he was even playing LB.

BA with some good attacking moments. His options were lacking and not really running off of their lines. Could play hero ball soon since his control seems in form today.

Leite (Union LB) gets his bell rung on a brave corner on the header. Has to go out of game.

I don't know what other position you'd call it tho - they have 2 wingers and he's mostly central - but yeah, going where needed often.

Union can't go in a shell now. It's cost them in recent games. The best d is a good o for them. Keep it in the opposing half, and potentially score another. BA's pretty useful for both interests.
