    I'm not really sure!

Linford did want to bring in Rene Simoes as our WC coach but the board said no. I would imagine he was very embarrassed and angered by that snub. Talk about a slap in the face!

I don't know if Simoes would have been the man or not but I can imagine how Linford felt when the board wouldn't let him move forward!

the CSA is a Mob. they've got their heads up their behinds.
A while ago i was talking to a member of the MNT and he was telling me some of the shannanaganz that go on in the CSA, that board needs to be replaced ASAP!
And lets not forget how the CSA mob treated Charmaine Hooper, after all she had done for the women's national team.

Ya, at this point we are just speculating, but no executive in any business wants to be told by the board that his hand picked COO isn't good enough, its akin to saying to a CEO he isn't good enough.
Frankly, the CSA board are bunch of clowns. They insisted on a Cdn head coach and so Linford was rebuffed and Mitchell got the job. Can't say Mitchell came away looking good after the U20
Thank God the CSA has little influence over TFC's business operations or we'd be in serious trouble. Say what you will about MLSE, TFC execution from a business perspective has been flawless... now we just need to work on getting some better players.

Someone please go to Ottawa and clean house. let's start fresh, change it to the Canadian Football Association and move forward.

I am sick and tired of these guys and their views.

This Is Another Reason Why Jonathan De Guzman Will Not Play For Canada. I Think The Csa Is Very Disorganized At This Moment.

Tell us something we don't know.

They should have a fun time trying to get any additional government funding, based on this.

If there was ever a chance, this was the final nail in the coffin.

the CSA has been disorganized for the last 20 years. those fat pigs need to step down and let people who know what they're doing and have no hidden interests take over.
But this will never happen, because they will not give up their annual vacations to the caribbean on the CSA"s credit card.

Why aren't the Feds getting involved yet. I mean, they see their money isn't being well spent but yet they do nothing.

Nice article on this subject in today's Toronto Star. Linford was frustrated by the province-first behavior of the various board members. Gee, a microcosm of Canadian politics in general. Go figure.
