I'm hoping AFC tells us to invade Canada, but I'm like that when it comes to our northern neighbor... :D

This will be a purely voluntary position, but you'll get your very own pair or ArseAm Speedos and a red, white, and blue beanie. :)

Like maple syrup, Canada's evil oozes over the United States. Think of your children pledging allegiance to the maple leaf. Mayonnaise on everything. Winter 11 months of the year. Anne Murray - all day, every day.

Boomer: I'll tell ya another thing: their beer sucks!
Roy Boy: I want to call the American embassy!
Boomer: All I said was "Canadian beer sucks!"
    [riot intensifies]
Kabral: People! People! Can't we all just get along?

My last two posts were quotes from the Michael Moore comedy, "Canadian Bacon." Not that I'm all that surprised that you wouldn't have seen that one Coach! :D

However, we do agree on hockey; so glad it's back!

    Damn Snowbacks*.

*That is what people at my college called the invading Canadians that "walk among us undetected" after one too many lectures on the joys of socialism.

No offense my Northern friends. I love hockey, curling, and your boring...ahem, lovely nation. Some of my best friends could be Canadians. ;) :D

The day I sit down to watch a Michael Moore film is the day that Ann Coulter and Al Franken have a live PPV porn session with one another....

(In case you missed it, nice, I was letting it lie low.. (no smiley because of limitations) )

Coach....you might want to watch yourself regarding such a bet for 2 reasons:
    1. Carville and Matalin.....eh? Stranger things have happened.
    2. Ann Coulter looks like she'd hump anything.

Bowling for Columbine was pretty funny, actually, except for the completely unnecessary Heston part. Haven't seen F911.
And I don't think Al Franken is gay, btw.

Right, keep it on the east coast. No one will ever bother it there.

If a Spurs fan had gotten near that thing in May, we'd have jumped his ass so fast he'd have ******** his knickers. I'm all for the flag being treated with respect but it means something to ALL of us. Trust us to be good stewards. If there's a problem address it then.

I mean all this with a lot of respect to you, Rick. I know you probably paid for it yourself. It's just that having that thing here for the Cup final meant a lot to us here in Chicago. I'd hate to think it made it's first and last visit. I don't know that a flag of our own would mean the same thing. Maybe it would over time but for now, this solution seems a little ummm....undemocratic?

    Re: Breaking News From Austria

Actually, the banner does belong to all of us, as it was ArseAm member donations that helped pay for it. However, if I remember correctly, Rick did put in a huge chunk of his own money.

As far as I'm concerned, the banner should go to Chicago and other places besides the East coast, as long as I go with it. :p Didn't anyone explain what the Premier Member dues were really for? :p

Thanks. I didn't mean to go off the deep end. We were just really proud that day.

You're welcome here any time and I have a feeling you wouldn't buy a single pint.

Hey we may be small but the Atlanta contingent would gladly put you up and pay for pints also in order to see the banner in person!

PS I have the pics from the FA cup match and need to send them to you!

I fully appreciate the time, money and effort that ArseAmers from LA to Kentucky to Chicago to... have put into the club. I would very much like for as many members as possible to "feel the magic" that is the banner. In addition to what shall forever be known simply as "THE banner" will not be closeted away forever, but, like the orginal copy of the U.S. Constitution, must be treated carefully.

What I thought would be cool would be if local chapters all got their own banner. That way, there would be local pride and competition. "Hey, look at D.C., they got their banner signed by Ashley Cole!" "The LA guys got their banner signed by Nick Hornby!" "Here's a photo of the Chicago guys with their banner at the San Siro!"

I can guarantee no Sp*rz will get near the flag in Texas with Coach and I standing guard!!!!

Brad, we should get together over pints and come up with the ArseAm Texas Flag!!! We may need an outside opinion before we make it though so as not to piss off the rest of the nation!;)
