Again we play PE #1 after a rather "rough" loss for her side....Let's HOPE this one goes a bit differently!!

Our 3 Internationals return since our loss to them in New Britain....that Hope unsuccessfully tried to throw away in the dying minutes....

3 points secures a "home" playoff match at a location TBD

Many of us will be at the Superliga Final watching the Revolution continue their domination of all teams Mexican....So Twitter updates are a must!!

    WPS Playoff picture update

    Boston Breakers (9-7-5, 32 points)
The Breakers now control their own destiny. If they win against Atlanta on Wednesday, they are in the playoffs and will host a playoff game. Alternatively, if Sky Blue FC loses on Wednesday, Boston can back into the playoffs with a loss or a tie. If both Boston and Sky Blue FC tie on Wednesday, the Breakers will also secure their ticket to the post-season. But if Sky Blue FC wins or ties on Wednesday and Boston falls to Atlanta, the Breakers won’t clinch a playoff berth.

    Atlanta Beat (5-11-5, 20 points)
The Beat must defeat the Breakers on Wednesday to keep their playoff hopes alive. A loss or tie to Boston will eliminate Atlanta from the post-season chase.

Your hospitality is noted and appreciated. I think that Atlanta features the premier facilty in WPS. But I hope with a midweek game, perhaps after school is in session, that there enough fans there to even create an atmosphere.

And lets HOPE that the Breakers crush the Beat with 3 starters back who missed the last game, and that HOPE eclipses the ignomious record for goals against in a game, in a half, and in 5 consecutive games, that she set in the last game.

Hey, Matchtracker lists Garth O'Sullivan as the Beat coach for tonight's match. Did he get rehired already? :)

Boston up 1-0 on a Tarpley goal in the 27th minute. Assist to Miss Smith from Watford.:)

MT says 2-0 now goal by Angeli but its only in the commentary not posted on the board yet.

CRS lead Philly 1-0, but its not on the board on the website.
    This is too confusing.

Poor job by matchtracker again. I believe Jordan Angeli has scored to make it 2-0. Assist to Miss Amy LePeilbet of Illinois

No kidding. List a goal by Lilly in the 45th, also not posted on the scoreboard. I think its either 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 Boston and thats its shortly after halftime.

    Or not.

It's 3-0 as Lilly scores with an assist to Kelly Smith.

According to matchtracker it's 0-0, 9 minutes into the first half, but below it shows Fabiani subbing in for Kelly in the 58th minutes!
    This is ridiculous

Looks like 3-0 is correct even though MT now says its 0-0 in the 9th minute of the 1st half.

Must be Atlanta staff running it.

    WAHOO! Way to go Breakers.

And note that HS conceded 11 goals in 138 minutes starting in New Britain.

So we are up 1 pt on Philly and we have a game in hand if Chicago holds on(2-0 in the 78th minute). I see a ride to Piscataway on the 11th in my future.

Current headline on Boston.com: "In Gloucester, rip tide prompts security." Are we sure this storm shouldn't have been named Hurricane Hope?
